So. Many. Words.
It's a new 3DS. I won't buy one because I already have the last two.
Finally found a New 3DS at Best Buy today. I've only messed around with it for about 30 min.
First Impressions:
Pros:
-3D can stay at MAX level all the time, and not strain my eyes.
-Images seem to pop out at me more than just depth 3D.
-Love the finish of the red model.
-C-stick isn't as tough to get used to as I thought.
-images and video look more crisp
-I had a $50 gift card to best buy, and can sell my old 3DS XL, making this purchase a minimal hit to my wallet, Plus I bought it in tax free NH (I have the Persona XL and a standard Blue XL already. Bye bye standard blue).
-new exclusives soon to come (*also see con's)
*edit- I'm going to PAX East this weekend, and the street pass games will look and play much better when standing in line.
Cons:
-When I first configured the New 3D effect, I was having a little trouble.
-I don't like where the stylus is located.
-I wish I had an exclusive game right now to take a test drive with, all I have is Smash Bros.
-not interested in amiibo (at this time)
-need screw driver to insert micro SD card.
That's just my take on it. I don't regret buying it, and I'm glad I found one. Also take note that I'm the type of person that likes to stay up on the latest consoles (I did buy PS4 over a year after release though). Figured I'd give my 2¢

I'd say that's a more than fair assessment of the situation. I don't mind having to use something to get to the card (I used a pocket knife blade as it was handy.) I do greatly mind NO games made just for it alone until April. That sucks. I agree with all your pros, so that's why I also just said screw it and bought one on Valentines Day for myself because of all the good this one finally did and even the non-advertised smaller improvements in clarity (visual and audio.) I know what I paid for my 3DS XL I traded up from, and I should be out probably around the price of a PS4 game after tax which is fine.
CON!!!!!!! all the hoops you have to jump through to do a damn system transfer. With all the errors and updates not taking to my old XL, to finding a compatible micro SD, to not remembering my Nintendo ID password. Then having to use a screwdriver to get to the mem card.
It shouldn't be this difficult. Been working on this for about 2 hrs. Still haven't even begun the transfer process. This is the biggest flaw that I've seen, it shouldn't be this difficult.
