    Default March 2015 Finds

    Hello, mates !

It's been always a pleasure to read your posts since I visit this forum, but things have been very slow lately. I usually don't post here but I hope you come back posting like you did before.

This weekend was good, had plenty of finds in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon in Mexico.

Pleasant surprise to find a Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening with mint cart and manual, the box is a heavily crushed but I guess its ok. It costed $400 mexican pesos (400/14.50 = 27.58 usd).

The PSone is open but everything inside is brand new. $400 pesos.

Dusty Diamond with manual $100 pesos

Blaster Master CIB $ 200 pesos

The SNES PCB is working and is Super Mario All Stars. Got it for free with purchase of Yoshi's Island and Final Fight 2 : $450 pesos.

    Have a nice day!

My wife picked these up off a local Facebook Garage Sale thingy. $30, for an SNES, no power adapter, and "some games". The "some games" were mostly popular commons, like Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country, at least from what we could tell from the pictures taken with a potato. So for $30 I figured we could stumble across a power supply somewhere and make some decent money come Christmas 2015. She sent me pictures in the car, after she picked it up, and I about shit my pants.

These are the exact pictures she sent me. Sorry, none of the rare stuff is for sale.

This is my singular find so far this month, but I figured it was worth a post.

Absolutely free (plus gas to get there and back. So $10?)

Goddamn dude, truck me up here that SF2 cabinet.

I never really have finds, KY just isn't a place for stuff like CA was some years ago before the scalping set in. I did get lucky with some finds/coupons this weekend though. Saturday I got the Zelda a Link Between Worlds guide for $7, and then I got the entire 10 book manga set of Rosario Vampire for $20 ($2x10) and 8 of them are originally $8 and the last two were $10 new so big savings. Then today it was warn enough so I went to the small flea out east of here and found New SMB2 for $20 never used (no saves on it) and then Half Price (where I got yesterdays stuff) had a 50% off coupon, used two, run up Super SF2 3DS (no save on it other than a persons name meaning they never played it but once, and it has the 3D slip cover the 1st run had too) for $7.50 and Jungle Book blu ray for $10.

I think that's a pretty decent win in my book across the board. And to think the weekend of deals just started with GoG.com having 60% off stuff so I got all 5 wing commander games with their expansions for $9.50 which would have satisfied me alone on that.

Square button Famicom - always nice to see at such a price. The few times I've dealt with "Junk" items there haven't been any issues. It's just the Japanese way of proclaiming it's "untested/as-is" and generally if that's in the description you don't have much to lose.
    Whaddya mean invalid parameters?!

9,000 gigs of ram and it still can't answer a simple question!

Yup that's a stunning buy for 'junk'. I guess they Japanese are just more honorable with their 'junk' listings. If even half of the untested/as-is stuff on ebay wasn't just shoveling shit and was just honestly untested 'junk' it would be a goldmine of greatness it once was.

yea on my trip to japan years ago we went into the hard off stores and saw a lot of junk, that's when I figured out what the meaning of it to them was, as is untested no returns.
the pics don't show it well but the case is clean but pretty yellowed, it isn't smoker yellowed though its through and through (same shade on the inside) so I'm probably going to retrobright it to keep it from getting any worse / brittle

I took the pic with my phone and theres a 40 inch tv on my desk and it make it look all "vintage" like and made the controller all purple and kinda washed out the pics

Sweet I love Rosario to Vampire. If you haven't read it before you're in for a treat.

Not so much a find as I got lucky this morning. What happened was after I picked up the Godchild from school, we ventured over to Target and I found a Toad Amiibo on the shelf.

I just finished Rosario+Vampire, damned good. I know there was a second set of books, may have to start keeping an eye out. I was more stunned someone dumped the entire collection and thankfully being the further away of two half price books, they marked them all $2 each instead of the usual half price so I went for it on a gamble.

This last week has been stunning with finds, not literal 'video games' but other stuff. Not sure if this is the place for that though.
