Unpopular opinion probably but I wish they couldve made it for Dreamcast. I know gamers demand the highest technology available but itd have been great to be able to experience all 3 of these games on the original hardware it was born on.

I cant see myself buying a new console or PC just to play this one game but I know im in the minority of people stuck in the stone age

I don't know if fulfillment of the Kickstarter campaign is disorganized or what, but my husband was a bit peeved that PC players had to wait longer than PS4 players to get their codes (on top of being peeved he has to play the game via Epic Games rather than Steam). I don't get why so many Kickstarter campaigns struggle to have a simultaneous release on all platforms.

I guess we should consider this: while Sony and Epic are "friends of the project" (financial contributors), I believe Sony sponsored the Shenmue III project with much more money directly with Yu Suzuki's studio than Epic did via its deal with Deep Silver, the game's publisher for Windows / PC. While this might not play a role in the actions taken by the Kickstarter campaign, it might.

However, I would say that PC gamers are treated worse than console gamers are by the industry in general.

Generally speaking, it seems that video game Kickstarter projects don't treat their funders very well. In my mind, those people who trusted you years in advance of your project materializing should pay less than those who just show up after the product is ready to sell. Then again, I also believe the crowd-funders should get early access, even if just by a few days or a few hours, compared to those that showed up to buy it on launch day.

That being said, how is Shenmue III?

Yeah, it seems like every game my husband wants to play on PC lately is either not on Steam or won't be coming to PC at all for a long time, like Untitled Goose Game and Death Stranding.

I think the worst Kickstarter experience I've had in terms of Johnny-come-latelies getting better treatment than backers was with the Muv-Luv campaign. People could order physical copies online for months before the backer copies were mailed out.

As for Shenmue III, it's crazy how Dreamcast it feels and how faithful it is to the Shenmue experience. I mean, it even has the same kind of stiff delivery of the voice acting lines. And I mean this as praise, haha.

I wonder if they put in a limit on how many sodas Ryo can drink in one sitting....

If anything I would hope they'd add a feature where Ryo can get visibly fat or diabetic if he drinks too much soda. Just to keep up with the realism and attention to detail.

Well, they forgot to put a bathroom in Shenhua's house like at home and Ryo still has no taken a shower in who knows how long. Maybe never seeing how his house didn't have one.
