Default Who else felt back then that Sub-Zero was the star of Mortal Kombat 2?

When Mortal Kombat 2 came out, I always felt that Sub-Zero was the star of the game, since his motive for competing in the MK2 tournament was specifically defeating and killing Shang Tsung, the person who planned the tournament in order to kill the earthlings, as stated in the SNES MK2 manual. Who else felt this way?

Yes and no, I figured it was both him and Liu Kang since they wanted his head.

Not sure if he was the centerpiece, but he was the breakout character for sure in popularity.

Sorry, my phone went all crazy and double posted.

I do think Liu Kang was intended as the main storyline, though, but Sub-Zero definitely became the most popular.

I always liked Scorpion over Sub-Zero, the harpoon and side screen jump seemed more bad assed then freezing. I also liked Beracka's scissor throat slice and scissor lawnmower slice, wisha wisha wisha, blood all over the place.
I'm just trying to keep from losing my mind!
