Default Dr. Mario Game Boy Ending (Level 20, High)

When you beat the Game Boy version of Dr. Mario on level 20 at high speed, the final version of the underwater scene has the UFO trying to beam the 3 viruses up into it (like in the original NES version), but as the viruses are underwater here instead of up high on a tree, a big shark intervenes and eats the three viruses before they can get inside the UFO, thus causing the UFO to retreat in defeat. May I ask, wasn't there a version of the same ending without the shark intervening?

I never knew it had an ending either. Mind blown.

I knew the NES game did, because my mom beat it when I was a kid. She's always been a puzzle game fiend. I remember that we got that game for free from sending in Kool-Aid points.

I never knew anyone who got anything remotely good with Kool-Aid points, so I learned a few new things from this thread.

Yep, that's how I got my NES Satellite as well. I used to collect them from friends who would throw them away otherwise from school or church when I was little, and we'd have a little sandwich baggie in a kitchen cabinet to save them up all year. Those were definitely the best prizes we ever got.
