They need to put the entire 3D classics line on physical over here. It's just ass-backwards and greedy having these things as download only. When Nintendo goes bankrupt and removes the eshop in a few years, how will people get to experience these classics?

BINGO, sadly on both parts if Nintendo keeps going down that road (eventually, a few years is a bit too soon.) I'd buy that cart in a heartbeat with them all on it. I've never played THIS one in a real machine but I emulated the hell out of it back in the 90s in a stand alone sega emulator as MAME got too bloated and asinine with rom name flipping.

Exactly. It's a sad state of affairs.

After Burner Climax was removed from PSN and XBLA not that long ago. To hell with an all-digital future.

I've never even seen a coin-up version. It runs like dirt on droids version of mame, Sega Saturn emulation is even worse. The pc engine version looked pretty watered down and choppy. It looks wacky and fun as all hell.

Yup that was a bullshit stunt. I found out about it and snapped it up on Android like the day before they decided to pull it off there. Got it free too using credits, screw Sega, not going to pay for it after that.

The Dreamcast version of Power Drift, included in Yu Suzuki Game Works Vol. 1 is very nice, it's 60fps like the arcade, although it runs in higher resolution than the arcade. The Saturn version was handled by an outside developer that was not upto the task. I wish Rutubo Games had done it along with Galaxy Force II because their work on Space Harrier, After Burner II and especially Out Run was outstanding.

Found a short 60fps video of a Power Drift arcade cabinet.

Starting at 8:44 in, some footage of the Dreamcast version plus a side by side comparison of Dreamcast vs Saturn.

note this video is not 60fps, so you won't see the framerate difference between the two as well.
