I was just noticing on YouTube that there was a Sonic Fury beginning different than my VHS copy. The same one on YouTube is found on the ActionMax compilation DVD. On that one, there's music during the intro target practice. On my VHS copy, there is no music during the target practice. So this makes me wonder if there are two different versions out there. If you have an ActionMax and Sonic Fury, check to see if music plays during the intro or not. Now I'm curious.
