Default How to fix hole in SNES plastic?

Looking to pull the trigger on an SNES lot, mainly for the games.

It includes an SNES with what looks like a 1 inch hole just behind the game slot.

Apparently the system works perfectly. It has the usual yellowing but I don't mind that so much.

See the picture below (sorry for the poor quality, that's the best I have!)

Any easy way of fixing the hole in this thing? Or would it even be worth it?

You could fiberglass/bondo it. But I'd only do that if you were wanting to do a custom paint job on it. Otherwise I'd just scope eBay for a non-working SNES and swap the innards. But honestly, for me the cost of doing so would be prohibitive so would just deal with it.

If it's that bad then the rest of it is probably going to start crumbling soon.
No amount of retro bright I've tried completely reversed how brittle they become despite the color change back to normal.

I say do something custom with out the case. I'm working on something i just haven't found the right wood to do it with but next week I'll be headed to a secret spot that has specialty hard woods so maybe it'll be done soon

go to Sally beauty supply and get Salon Care 40 Volume Creme Developer, and a Good Black light, and THAT will make that Yellow WHITE, it will make it original Color.
so get the crème, Black light, and gloves (MUST HAVE GLOVES or your burn your skin off)
I do this on all my Super Famicoms I get from Japan.

    Good luck.

    P.S.

It will take a few times , 8hrs or so depends on how yellow, the more you do it the better is gets.

Bondo to fill the hole. Sand it to make it smooth but you'll ruin the finish texture on there. At this point you're going to want to probably get some vinyl dye to make it all one color but I have no recommendations to keep the markings on there that aren't part of the case and I don't know if vinyl dye will color bondo. Might be better off with automotive grade paint.
I fix things. You name it, I'll work on it. Want something modded? Recapped?
