Default My Nintedo 200 points or Club Nintendo members

I received an email from Nintendo.
    It said the following...

"And as a former member of Club Nintendo, you’ve qualified for bonus My Nintendo Platinum Points*."

it was followed by a code and a link.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get these points. The link takes me to the mynintendo page
but there is no where to enter the code.

    any ideas?

Phishing scam maybe? Doesn't make much sense and platinum points? I do know those weirdos launched miitomo today in the US market on android and ios.

Log into My Nintendo, click the "hamburger" symbol in the top left corner (which is now the "universal" icon for more options dropdowns) and you should see a menu item "Redeem Code". You can type it in there. I did this earlier today.

I hate that, not just here, but everywhere. Damn it, developers, give me honest-to-God menu bars back! Google started this crud with Chrome and their "Web apps" and Android apps and hiding the menus behind the stupid triple bar icon. The first few times I encountered this a few years ago, it took me a long time to figure out what to do.

The layout of the My Nintendo site doesn't bundle all of its UI widgets in a single corner nor place neither, so don't feel bad, T: it also took me a long time to find the "hamburger icon" in the upper left corner, colored in gray on a white background (poor contrast!), instead of the more intuitive upper right corner where your Mii icon is located over a background full of color. I mean, seriously, why didn't the developer of this Web site/app just pile all the UI into the easier-to-see Mii icon in a single corner instead of splitting it across two icons in two opposite corners?

It really started with the switch to widescreen monitors. It didn't really expand the sides as much as crop down the top of the viewing area. To make more viewable space they started removing menu bars. It annoys me too.
