can some one explain to me the Nintendo & Sega-Gremlin games, how they came about to this agreement and possibly, what was the first game they did together?
if I remember correctly Space Firebird was the first but I want to make sure

As I understand it, it was a manufacturing/publishing agreement established before Radar Scope was released. Nintendo developed Space Firebird internally by R&D1. They licensed the US distribution, manufacture, and publishing through Sega, who had more experience in the western arcade scene. After the successes of Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, and Popeye, Nintendo started to take over their own western arcade properties more and even eventually licensing the publishing/distribution rights of other companies' games like Irem'd R-Type. I'm not aware of any shared development between the companies at the time, but rather just licensing arrangements. Someone else may know more, though.
ok so I did some more digging and it seems that Space Firebird was the fist one.
my question now is on that particular game what came first?
the Nintendo version cabs or the Sega-Gremlin games?
the reason I ask is because not too far away theres a Nintendo SpaceFirebird cocktail for a price and I am very tempted. only I am technically $100 short but I could tap into the $1000 we saved from taxes to bring the wifes car payment down but it seems that it might go to refinancing the house which takes a while. i'm afraid by the time its all done it'll be gone.
I guess that's why I have stock piled a mass amount of game consoles too
