    Default About GameCube Power Supply

    Hi guys,

I have a Japanese gamecube but it has no power brick adapter,

The person told me I can use the USA DOL-002 Power adapter on Japanese gamecube.
I don't know if it's safe, or should I just get the Japan DOL-002 and use it's on my transformer???

    Thanks.

A US one will work just fine.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if they had the same guts

They do, you can use any region power supply with any Cube, I use a UK supply with my Japanese console (so I don't even have to worry about a stepdown).

The power brick outputs DC voltage and the GameCube accepts DC voltage. You could wire a cube to your computer's PSU if you really wanted to (I did once for testing something as I was too lazy to source a brick from my storage area and soldering two wires was quicker.

Check the brick to make sure the AC coming out of your wall matches. They may be universal just to save on manufacturing costs as you'd have one case, one board, one set of components. Most laptop supplies follow this these days.
I fix things. You name it, I'll work on it. Want something modded? Recapped?
