Default Working on my first TSOP SNES burn

    Hi everyone.
Just wanted to chime in on my first attempt at an SNES ROM burn. Im attempting a Japanese cart to English retranslation of Breath of Fire 2. We all know how sad the official version is. After that, I want to try SD3.
Im using some direct soldered chips from buyicnow and am waiting on a zif socket from China for my adapter board...because I forgot female header pins... I have some loose chips as well, but I want to go easy the first time around...those tiny legs!
I've done several NES games prior to this, which turned out great...but was definitely easier as far as components. Yes, I have an everdrive but this is so much more satisfying and I enjoy this kind of stuff maybe more than actually gaming. I am going to try to avoid trace cutting, whenever possible, to preserve the game as much as possible. Reasons.

Anyone else into burning snes games for themselves? Any tips and tricks?
I am not really knowledgeable on this and am just following some guidelines from mmmonkey.

the only person I can think of around here that might have done it would have been Guntz, but I haven't seen a post from them in a while

I think he might post on Nintendoage. When the forums were going through a lot of drama I looked around to see what kind of atmosphere they had. I didn't join them. I saw some familiar names, though.

Thanks, yeah that's where I went and got it going. Helpful people there.

It's the tl866 to tsop board - wired completely wrong. Tried to get ahold of the creator who uploaded it to oshpark but I'm not digging too deep...
Had a zif from China show up and it burned it just fine. Soldered onto my adapter and I'm playing games.
