Yeah, you are pretty far into the weeds here to boot, so it seems to me you were getting pretty good response/information, all things considered. I think getting into the weeds is great if that's your thing, and could be a lot of help to collectors going forward. Deleting all your posts is, quite frankly, bizarre and distasteful.

On a side note, I think I'd get hives if I had to spend money on sports titles. After the 360 came out and all the stores started dropping the prices of original Xbox games down to virtually nothing, I would leave stores with a full sack of games, having spent less than $50. I do have the compulsion to buy a complete collection, I just can't bring myself to buy games that fundamentally don't interest me, which is mainly sports games. I do not understand the appeal personally, and buying them instead of "real" games kind of sickens me to think about. I'd feel horrible if I did that. I only ever bought games that I wanted to play. I think the only game that I bought that I have absolutely no interest in playing is the Barbie horse riding game, I really bought it because it had a small production run and I found it complete and cheap in a Play N' Trade.

All that's meaningless now, since my nephew borrowed my Xbox and killed it. He had done the same thing with my 360 a couple years before, I should have known better. One of these days I'll get another one. I've got plenty of games for it, after all.

yeah its too bad. most of the Xbox forums are dedicated to modding and that crap and it doesn't interest me.

    I apologize.

I'm working on a PS2 list as well but I won't put a list out for a while since I'm busy with class/work/life etc.

I just added a bunch of NTSC-J Xbox games. These are all based on photos or videos I saw on eBay, Google images, and Youtube. I know that there's at least a few dozen I'm missing, based on all the stock photos I saw on eBay.

Some of the titles were written in kanji and I had to go off of what the seller put as the title in their listing since I can not translate Japanese.

I will say that it's pretty hilarious to see a game like 187 Ride or Die with kanji on the front. Interestingly, they replaced one of the male characters with a woman (likey firing at a police officer)

Can anyone confirm or deny the existence of Worms 3D Special Edition (Xbox)? eBay and Google images yield nothing.

Does anyone know if any original Xbox games came in the translucent green cases, similar to the 360 games, or black cases? or did they all come in the standard green or metallic if they were Platinum Hits?

That is because it is a part of Dead or Alive Ultimate, similar to the Grand Theft Auto Double Pack. I am unfamiliar with a release of that as its own entity.

Halo 2 Platinum Hits comes in a semi-transparent gray case rather than the normal gray one. Not sure if any other games are like that. The Burger King games are translucent green cases.

GTA3, GTA:VC, and Dead or Alive Ultimate have Blockbuster rental-exclusive versions with unique insert single-case art (these aren't on your list, unsure if by design).

This picture of an incomplete Platinum Hits GTA Double Pack popped up last year. It sure looks like it exists and it's extremely rare if it does. No one ever talks about it. It is incomplete so we don't know what the box looks like (if there is one).

I think you're missing this Canadian Fable bonus DVD with French text unless you're not counting it:

I swear there's a supposed picture of the Darkwatch coffin you got via community points on the Darkwatch website. You might want to look around for that. I think I last saw it on NintendoAge. Not sure if that one counts. Check the internet archive of darkwatch.com for details.

Good luck with your list. Modern consoles are fun because there's so much out there and not tons of people digging deep into them.

Not sure if anybody is still following this thread, but today I happened across this Halo 2 variant at Vintage Stock. It appears to be the standard "Black Label" case insert inside a silver Platinum Hits style case. The game is still sealed, so it doesn't appear to be a case where somebody just swapped out the insert.

Looks legit. I wonder if it was a misprint. It reminds me of the 1943 copper pennies that were supposed to be steel
