Default Best paper to use for repro labels and for front insert (SMS/GEN Games)

I know some folk here make repros and such...what do you guys use for the actual cartridge label? I tried using Avery shipping labels and using laminate, like youtuber John Riggs uses, but I am looking for something simpler. I want a type of paper (vinyl?) that I can print a nice label on my inkjet, wont suffer from smudges and excessive "touchings", a bit glossy like the originals...and at a decent price.

Also, SMS and Genesis games have nice front artworks as inserts. What type of paper I can use that is good enough to emulate this?

    Thanks!

My own labels, dude. Custom ones. Don't jump to judge without knowing.

I guess people making movie prop reproductions are counterfeiting too. Most the people at comic-cons are criminals!

I don't know for sure never having printed my own labels. But for a cheap and easy way, I have heard of people getting pretty good results by simply covering their paper with packaging tape and triming the edges.

I had to replace a badly ripped up GBA label, used regular paper. Double sided (no foam insert) tape and instead of laminate, used thinner transparent glossy tape.

CRTGAMER, I don't think you mean regular scotch tape. Any brand you recommend?

Still looking for alternatives. Will do the tape thing too. I was given one sided, non thermal laminate sticker to try out. Need to print something worth while though.

    Thanks for the advice!

Not Magic tape, but the shiny transparent tape. You can get two inch wide rolls packing tape that works well even if two passes to cover entire printed label. The advantage over laminate is a thinner top clear coat. I first apply the clear tape and carefully smooth out all bubbles with fingernail. Then place the double sided no foam tape underneath and trim off the excess before placing on cart.

Epson makes hundreds types of waterproof paper in many different sheens. Im not sure if you will need to buy waterproof ink or regular ink is fine. But i know for sure there are tons of photo paper out there that is waterproof and glossy etc.
