I got a bootleg fc as a gift and the ac adapter reads travel charger
    Input: 110-250VAC 0 1A50/60HZ
    Output 5V 500mA +10mA

Can i use this in US outlets?

Yes it's safe to use in the US. Based on the inputs it can be used pretty much anywhere in the world.
