Default What are some "Rescue Games?"

What are some games such as "H.E.R.O" or Firefighting Games where you rescue people? (Adventure games such as Zelda, where you may rescue Zelda from Gannon, don't really count here.) I have a small list so far. This list can include games on 80s computers such as Atari Computers and Commodore 64.

    List:

Burning Rangers (Saturn - I never played it.)
H.E.R.O (Atari 2600, 5200, Atari 8-bit family, Apple II, ColecoVision, Commodore 64, MSX, Sega SG-1000, ZX Spectrum - Personally recommended game.)
    Firefighter F.D. 18 (PS2 - I thought this was mediocre.)

The Ignition Factor on SNES was the first thing that came to mind. Another firefighting game.

Also, Airwolf on the NES has parts where you rescue prisoners by flying your helicopter in to camps while under fire.

Hmmm... this is a good topic. Let's see -

Choplifter - pretty much ported to everything
    Pilotwings - SNES (helicopter stages)
    City Crisis - PS2

...looks like I'm thinking of a theme.

    Towering Inferno - Atari 2600
    Fire Fighter - Atari 2600
    Flying Hero - Famicom
SOS / Septentrion - Super Nintendo

    SOS (SNES)
    S.O.S. (Sink or swim) (SNES)
    Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES/Genesis)
I think most if not all of the Oddworld games involve rescuing your fellow Mudokons
And I think most of the Frogger games involve rescuing young frogs

In Echo Night (PS1) you have to release spirits from their imprisonment on a ghostly passenger liner.
When I come home from a long day in Hell, there's nothing I'd rather reach for than a fire-brewed bottle of Styx Beer. Made from the filthiest waters from our own River Styx. Styx Beer is a third more toxic than any other regular beer. The worst beer - the filthiest beer - the deadliest beer. It's Styx Beer!

There's Rescue The Embassy Mission for the NES that comes to mind, though it's pretty terrible. Not sure if the Metal Slug games count as rescuing people isn't the main goal of the games, it's more of a bonus.

Megumi Rescue ~ JPN Master System/ Mark III
Fying Hero ~ Famicom (better prequel to Megumi Rescue)

Disaster Report was the other game that instantly came to mind. I sooo hope the 3rd game gets released in English!

Defender was another game that came to mind, different kind of rescue, but it is very much a rescue game.

Defender was also the first thing that came to my mind as well, but since that's already been said, then I'll say Robotron 2084 instead.

I have a fondness for H.E.R.O. and own the SG 1000 Sega My Card version which replaces the helicopter backpack with a jetpack. Cool game.

I've been a collector for awhile now, but I'm actually pretty proud to say that I own all of these these rescue games.

Aren't a lot of those just platformers where "rescuing" is there to facilitate the storyline motive rather than rescuing being the main gameplay element?
