That's the kickstarter. A game is very little merit, sorry, but Action 52 had better stuff than this.

I should have included a link to the Kickstarter but somehow missed it. However I was only posting the news about the project, not judging its value at the time.

I must say that I casually enjoy Picross games and this particular one has nice sound effects and music to it.

While Picross or an implementation of it might not be for everyone, I thought that this news item was worth sharing.

No reason not to share it, just that the game itself IMO is a letdown.

I am happy to report that Family Picross was successfully delivered to backers this month. While I have only played about ten minutes of the game, I am happy with what it is. The game sports three different background musical tracks that you can choose among, and the ability to "save" progress by writing down game codes. The full color manual which is included with physical and digital copies is pretty nice too and includes tricks and strategies for solving picross puzzles in general. However I wish the game also had a feature to let you know when you incorrectly mark a tile during a puzzle. I would have gladly accepted a time penalty for wrong guesses in exchange for "wrong mark" notifications like the Nintendo picross games do.

I believe the Family Picross game will be made available for general sale to the public later this year.
