    Default S-video

Does anyone use it? I find that its a lot easier to deal with versus trying to find the right SCART cables, adapters and all that BS. The picture quality is very comparable to RGB.

I have an NES modded for S and RGB and if it is set for S, you would swear it is RGB. My SNES, N64, and GC all look great in S.

I have an old CRT that had S on it and I feel this was basically the highest quality picture that game developers expected you to be able to get if you lived in the United States at that time. RGB seems to only have been attainable if you had imported SCART cables. Though maybe I am wrong about that

Anyways I just think its an under-appreciated signal

I don't see a need for this to be in the repair/maintenance sub-forum, so I'm moving this to Classic Gaming.

I use s-video for just about every system I can that I play on a CRT.

I’m one of those heathens that can’t tell the difference between S video and composite, even on the Xbox so I play most of my old consoles with composite

I cant see a huge difference on a CRT but upscaled to 720p on a 55" I can see a difference
