Default X3 on PSX or Saturn?

so say your wanting to check out megaman X3 on a system other than a SNES

which one would you pick? Saturn or PSX? and why?

things have been pretty crap lately and i was looking at these before so i was thinking of just saying eff it and get one on ebay, just not sure which one.
Imports for sure, unless things go really shit and say eff it all and blow it all on uber expensive PAL or US versions of the game....

Okay when I saw the title I thought X3 was some sports game (I'm sure I've seen one with a similar title). Good thing I checked and realized this was a Megaman topic!

Personally if it was me, I'd go with Saturn just because A) my Saturn needs more love and.... well that's it basically. As far as I know there's not much reason to prefer one system over the other if you have both consoles and they're both capable of playing imports.

MMX3 is also on Windows 95/98 but... ehhh... might not be worth it. Console games tend to play best on, well, consoles.

The PC version is notable for having higher resolution video segments over the PS1/Saturn ports but doesn't play nice on modern operating systems. It is also considerably harder to nail down a physical copy...

Not much point in either version of MMX3 unless you want the opening cinematic and arrange ost.I've seen fans that often prefer the snes version original more, compared to the saturn&ps1 ones.Side note the PS1 version of MMX3 is on the mega man x collection for GC&PS2 if you want to play it that way.

A friend of mine owned a PC copy when we were in high school. it was not so good.

alright well the general consensus seems to be saturn so i'll go that route. i forgot i'll have to get some RGB cables for the PVM to see it in all its glory.
i get the feeling its going to be difficult to find cables that are not scart

Cheap SCART to BNC adapter: Get a female SCART receptical, wire in male RCA plugs, use female RCA to male BNC adapters.

Howso? I thought it ran fine on my 1999/2000 setup in fullscreen. If I recall the music was in MOD format files, or that was the X4 PC port I'm thinking of.

The Saturn version of Mega Man X3 doesn't run at the same resolution as the PlayStation and SNES versions so it's been pillarboxed.

any way i just remember there being some werid audio and FMV issues on his PC, the FMVs werent much of a problem but the audio sucked, even swapping cards with several didnt help.

FWIW I saw a video on youtube where the reviewer had problems with the PC version crashing whenever he tried to go behind a certain boss. I think he was playing on a modern OS though, which I suspect added more issues.

Best to just play on a console IMO.
