Default Early video games that tracked overall completion %

I cant think of any examples earlier than Donkey Kong Country (November 1994.) Are there some earlier examples?

Off the top of my head, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood keeps a completion percentage, and that came out in 1993.

Would Super Mario World's "exit" count fit this? That would be 1990 (Japan)/1991 (NA).

Yes, but the % is quite arbitrary since you can get 101% in DKC. The % only really matters if 100% is absolute completion.

Right I kinda thought about that, too. Spyro 1 did the same sh*t where 120% meant 100%. And there was a glitch in the first edition of Gran Turismo 2 where you could only get 97% I think, so in that game 97% meant 100%

Here's another early example. Super Metroid will give you % at the end:

Wolfenstein 3D gave you percentages at the end of each level, how many kills, how many secrets you found, etc. Does that count? It came out in 1992.
