I went to a local GameXchange and bought No More Heroes III and The Nonary Games for the PS4. Can't Drive This came in from Amazon a couple days ago, and Hell Warders was bought earlier this week at a Movie Trading Company.

I went to a couple other shops but didn't buy anything. One of which was a game store called The Gaming Vault in far northern Fort Worth, TX that also sells Pokemon cards and other collectible playing card games. Turns out the night before they were broken in to. Smashed the glass front door out, smashed the glass cases, grabbed all the individual Pokemon cards and packs of the more valuable stuff. Didn't touch the video games. And apparently whoever did this hit six other local tabletop game stores the same way over the past few nights. I remember when people would do a smash and dash on video game stores for actual video games (a game store in Duncanville in the SNES/Genesis days was broken into three times before they closed for good), now it's all about tabletop stuff. It's sad to see my hobby isn't even worth the bother to criminal sh!tbags nowadays.

I'm happy to have found a copy of Disaster Report 4 for the PS4, the only one I've ever seen on a store shelf was $79 a couple years ago. I also ordered The Ninja Saviors: Return of The Warriors off Amazon. Not in the photo was the copies of Nioh I and II that I bought last week.

Last week I went to my favorite game store and picked up Shiny and Ziggurat for the PS4. I'd seen Ziggurat on store shelves for a couple of years but I never looked at the screenshots, it looks like a Hexen-style game, so I grabbed it. And I ordered the remaster of Ganryu 2 off Amazon. But I couldn't post my finds because this site was down.

I went out today to a couple Half Price Books, and bought Star Trek: Resurgence for the PS4 and Jak & Daxter Collection Remastered for the PS3. That now puts me at roughly 690 PS3 games. I'm looking forward to breaking the 700 game barrier. And I tried to play the Star Trek game, it took over 10 minutes to install. Then it gives you button presses for pretty much everything under the sun - do I need so many options? Do I really have to push buttons or triggers to do trivial things in the game? It seems a bit excessive.

I found out that Game Over Videogames has just opened another location in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, way up near McKinney. Picked up SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays Platinum Edition for the PS4, and Sengoku Basara 4 for the PS3. Later on I stopped at a GameXchange (Also in McKinney) and bought Psycho-Pass Mandatory Happiness for the PS4.

It's kind of a shame that very few people are able to find anything in the wild nowadays, it's weird when I'm almost always the one posting things.

I went to a GameStop in a mall today and bought a bunch of PS4 games, all $12.99 or under. Severed Steel, They Always Run, Cross Code, Arkanoid Eternal Battle, and Arcadegeddon. Sisters Royale came from Amazon today too, strangely in German. And yesterday I stopped at my favorite game store and picked up Exile's End.

I haven't really found much of anything worth mentioning in a looong time, but the other day I bought a Gameboy Micro at a thrift store for $3! Including the charger and a game.
I've never even seen one in person before then and didn't realize just how tiny it actually is.

It was missing the face plate so I 3D printed a replacement and thought I'd experiment with trying to give it a woodgrain finish.

I finally had my first order to PlayAsia go through (my credit union was convinced the previous orders were some kind of credit card scam and blocked them) and I finally got my hands on a copy of River City Super Sports Challenge for the PS3. sealed. It's the Hong Kong release that was translated into English. And a couple days ago I went to my favorite game store and picked up Ace of Seafood (I watched a YouTube video to figure out what the game was, and afterwards still couldn't figure out what the game was about, it's that weird) and Blade Assault for the PS4, both sealed.

I woke up painfully early and drove out to Ennis, Texas because it was directly in the center of the path of totality of the eclipse. It occurs to me that I've never seen a full eclipse before, only partial ones. Pretty damn cool. Since I was out so far anyway, I drove out further to a Gamexchange in Corsicana and bought the SNK 40th Anniversary collection for the PS4. On the drive home I stopped at the Gamexchange in Waxahachie and picked up Transformers Devastation for the PS3 and We Happy Few for the PS4. I had a pretty long day today.

hey all i am still here, been dealing a lot in the personal life since feb. i did find a few things atleast

starting off the switch games came from a gaming swap meet i needed an extra copy of mario kart to play with a friend (that never happened) while i was in texas and tiny barbarian was just a why not.
Mario Kart 8 DX - switch $30 (complete)
Tiny Barbarian - switch $15 (complete)

next up are the wii games and the punisher they came from a local goodwill. Punisher surprised me on its value of almost $40 still
    Spectrobes - wii $4 (complete)
Counter Force - wii $4 (complete)
    Punisher - xbox $7 (complete)

in late march i had to go to texas to visit a family member. one of those for the last time deals. and one of the days we were waiting around and i saw a movie trading company and i always see Steve talk about them so i popped in and i didnt see anything i wanted to try and shoe horn into my carry on so just to say i bought something i bought a copy of unreal championship for $4. it was better condition than any other copy i've seen before where i live.
This was the movie trading company in Lewisville TX (spelling?)

all the while this stuff (and more) has been going on the district i work for found them selves in a pickle and short $4 million suddenly. yea i dont know how that happens other than just ignorance. so there will be layoffs and i think the state is going to come in and take things over, which they should. any way there was a day where i just couldnt deal with the BS any more so i went out with a friend (who also works for the district) and found 2600 games at a st vincent de paul.
Kinda surprising and their prices were $1 to $3 ea. so i got a few i didnt think i had. they had like 4 copies of ET and i've never owned a copy so i grabbed two since they get hoarded. the find in this is Encounter at L5 its actually got some value to it. one of these days i'll be able to play games again.

i think i paid $12 for all of them. not gonna list them all you can see in the pic.
i left a lot behind for others but i was pretty sure i had them or wouldnt ever play them

and then this last wednesday i found another 360E console in much better shape than the one i had before. i plan on modding one so i can play all my XB and 360 games on one console with HDMI out that isnt shaped like some werido swoopy thing.
    it was $20

I've been picking up games for a couple weeks now but for some reason I always forget to post them.

Today I went a bit farther out than normal and picked up Sine Mora EX and the DioField Chronicle for PS4 at a GameXchange in Denton, TX. While I was in town I stopped at a Movie Trading Company and bought Adventure Academia: The Fractured Continent. On the way back I stopped at another indie game store in Flower Mound, TX called Collectibles Cards & Games (such a generic name for a game store!) and picked up a sealed copy of Tandem - A Tale of Shadows for the PS4.

Last week I went to a couple game stores and bought Horizon Zero Dawn, Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back, Age of Wonders Planetfall, and Fade to Silence, mostly $8.99 or under (except Bubsy, it was $13). And Noob - The Factionless was something I ordered off Amazon because it looked interesting.

Went to my favorite game store today, picked up Undernauts - Labyrinth of Yomi for PS4. Then I stopped at the Dallas headquarters of Half Price Books. Last year they had a gigantic display model of the Star Trek: Enterprise ship NX-01 that I didn't have money to buy, and it was sold by my next visit. As I was remembering that I saw a Polar Lights model of the NX-01 sitting on a shelf. It also has the NX-01 Refit upgrade that the designer Doug Drexler wanted to give it but the producers resisted it. And it's sealed, so I don't have to worry about missing any parts. And Afterimage for the PS4 came in a few days ago from Amazon.

Went game hunting today, I stopped by my former favorite game store and bought the collector's edition of Ground Zero, Texas for the PS4. It's a nice package but it won't fit too well on my shelf.

At another store called Retro Madness, I picked up Wonder Boy The Dragon's Trap for PS4. Later I stopped at a GameStop I haven't been to since I used to buy Nokia N-Gage games from them. Bought Eternights and Nuclear Blaze there, used, and the guy tried to sneak on $1.99 each for Game Insurance hoping I wouldn't notice. Oh, right, that's why I haven't been in a GameStop in years (until I bought a PS4 at least).

I ordered Hentai vs. Evil for the PS4 from Amazon. With a name like that, how could I resist? And I can't imagine the game is going to be great if they have to lean on that name to sell it. But I couldn't help myself.

So I was driving back and I came across a place I hadn't heard of, a restaurant called CosMc's. Turns out it's an experiment by McDonald's, there's one in Chicago and three around the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and that's it, four in total worldwide. The menu is all breakfast items with some stuff I've never heard of, like Creamy Avocado Tomatillo (breakfast) Sandwich and Spicy Queso (breakfast) Sandwich. And something called McPops that look like tiny jelly donuts but with cookie butter, hazelnut, and apple cinnamon fillings. Then there's a massive amount of drinks. There's also no interior seating, it's an empty room with ordering kiosks and an employee counter. I ordered an iced green tea with Dragonberry and Watermelon flavoring, it was really good. Not quite as good as a dedicated bubble tea place, but pretty close.

Didn't find much today, I only picked up a boxed Atarisoft Defender for the VIC-20. It was at a Half Price Books, sitting next to a second copy. Nearby was a Movie Trading Company and it seemed they had a copy there too, along with other Atarisoft VIC-20 titles like Donkey Kong. Some hardcore VIC-20 collector in the area must have passed away and the relatives just randomly sold off the games to any place that would take them locally. That's the only thing that explains why there's such a crazy volume of VIC-20 boxed cart games around north Garland, Texas.

I ordered a couple PS4 games off Amazon, Space Invaders Forever and World of Outlaws Dirt Racing (the World of Outlaws game on the PS3 was next to impossible to find, I thought I'd buy the PS4 sequel to hedge my bets for the future while it's cheap).

When I found the time I did a bit of game hunting, bought an Evercade cartridge, the Duke Nukem Collection 1. Bought Slain Back From Hell and 2064: Read Only Memories for the PS4 from my new favorite game store, the next day I ended up buying the Turbo Super Stunt Squad game for the PS3 because I've only come across a copy maybe three times since I started collecting for the console. Then I bought a sealed Knights and Bikes for the PS4. The same store had the game ExaSkeleton for the original Xbox, an exclusive Japanese game. It looks pretty cool, but I don't have any way of playing it. If I had a Japanese Xbox, I would have jumped at it. I know shops where a few other Japanese Xbox exclusives are, scattered across the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

    Monday, May 20:

Browsing Facebook Marketplace for Yard Sales, I saw an ad for one that was posted around 2 PM on Sunday. There was a NES with games (which I missed,) and I found this that I picked up.

    Sega Genesis model 1
Sega CD Model 2 (not working, I may still be able to fix it easily.)
Sega Power Adapter 1602 (only one, not two)
1 Video Cable that converts video to a later type of Sega video cable.

    Genesis Games:

    The Lion King (game only)

    Batman Forever (with case)
F-117 Night Storm (with case and manual)
NBA Live 96 (with case and manuals)
    NFL Football 94 (with case)
Rolling Thunder 3 (with case) - This one has a very silly ex-rental sticker on it.
WF Royal Rumble (with case and manual)

    Sega CD Games:

    MegaRace (with case and manual)

System is missing the extension for under the Model 1 system. Genesis is missing the ext port door and the red plastic, and it's also missing the headphone volume slider plastic. No controllers included.

    Games are all working.

Paid $50. It's still well worth it, even though the Sega CD system isn't currently working. It might only be a fuse, and I hope that's all it is.

Also, why exactly is it that out of the 5 Sega CD systems I've acquired through the years, my first one was on eBay in 2003 and then all the others were in yard sales or otherwise local? 3 of them were within 5 miles of home. My 4th one was within 25 miles, and I got that one for $15 because it was being sold as broken. That one just had a fuse issue, too. Maybe a bunch of locals bought them around 1995 - 1996 when the system was in the clearance bin.

I'm kind of glad I blew the fuse in my first one by plugging a NES Adapter in it, seeing as the fuse seems to be such a common problem with these.

Well, what do you know; Goodwill had a low value NES Game (Winter Games) in a brick and mortar location today, so I got it for $2.99 + tax. It seems to be an ex rental copy since a number's written on the back in marker, but this copy's otherwise in very good condition.

Since the site's been up and down lately, I haven't had the opportunity to post anything in a bit. I ordered Dead or School off Amazon - the Euro version was in English but cost more, and the Japanese version stated it was multi-language. Sure enough, even though it doesn't say anything on the box about it, it automatically switches to English in a North American machine. A nice little hack and slash with a lot of Japanese silliness.

Days later, I went to a Half Price Books and bought Danball Senki and Soul Eater: Battle Resonance for the PSP. I hit a few thrift stores and only found a Coleco Amaze-A-Tron in box.

Today I went to the headquarters of the Movie Trading Company and bought Neptunia Virtual Stars for the PS4, then saw that they also had loads of import games, for the 360, PSP, Wii, Wii U, PS2 and PS3. I bought Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 5 for the PS3, then Surprised Mouse and Primopuel My Special Partner for the PS2, even though I have no way of playing them at the moment. Later on I stopped at a GameStop and bought Skully.

It's been a while since I've been on, but things in my neck of the woods are slim for pickings.

My mom decided to move back up north (which is a whole lot of drama, which I'll spare the DP denizens) and decided to leave a bunch of stuff behind as she didn't want them/need them. So I got all her gaming stuff....a lot of which I gave her over the past how many years as gifts so it was a bit bittersweet.

    NES

Front loader with OEM ZIF socket (that I installed), two controllers, orange-barrel Zapper.
    Bee-52 (loose)
    Big Nose the Caveman (loose)
(note on the above Camerica games: my Mom bought these off of QVC back around 1993 when we moved into a country house my senior year of high school. These games went back and forth between us a couple of times.)

    Golf (loose)
Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet (loose)

Nintendo Wii system with 2 controllers, chuks and Wii Sports

Nintendo DSi XL Super Mario Anniversary Edition with Zelda 4 Swords installed

    Non Game Related:

Tabletop CD/MP3 50's style jukebox (was a gift from my Dad, who died in 2014, to her. Still works and has the original CD that it came with).

A bunch of DVDs and BluRays (like the Harry Potter series, Flash Gordon, Princess Bride, etc.)

Beyond that, I picked up some things but not for any real killer deals save maybe scoring a refurb 64 GB Steam Deck. That system is dang surprising at what it can do, lemme tell ya.

While "organizing" the basement (i.e. putting the piled crap that's been sitting down there for years in actual bins and tossing out just loose plastic, empty wet boxes, etc.) I found a Magnavox VCR/DVD Recorder system that looks hardly used. I tried it out just passing video through (no recording yet) and it works great! My OG Xbox is hooked up to it via S-Video to the CRT and it looked beautiful! Of course I got rid of my switch boxes and cables years ago so now I'm on the hunt again.

Last week my mom had a medical emergency and I haven't been able to do anything other than go back and forth to the hospital. She's home again and in good health, and my sisters are both in town taking care of her, so in-between picking up supplies and stuff I've managed to squeeze in a bit of game shopping. The Outer Worlds, Professor Rubik's Brain Training, and Gintama Rumble (another Singapore release that would never get translated into English otherwise) came from a GameXchange, Days Gone came from a Half Price Books, Lumote: The Mastermote Chronicles and Earth Defense Force 4.1 came from a Movie Trading Company. UFO Robot Grendizer - The Feast of the Wolves was an Amazon purchase. I find it odd that the French name is Goldorak - I just looked it up and that's what French language versions of the anime were named.
