Unhappy The end of the game.com

    Howdy, y'all.

This has been in the works for far too long and today, I'm nauseous to announce that:

“The end of the game.com” rides again.
    www.diskman.com/presents/gamecom

Yep. My formerly threadbare website about a handheld game system that's even less enjoyable than the Supervision [!!]... is back. Now bloated with far more information than you'll ever care to know, to experience it is a grand adventure in masochism. (Though still less painful than actually playing game.com games.)

If you're wondering why I've wasted so much time building a virtual shrine to such a useless piece of plastic stuffed with shoddy electrical components, it's simple: I did it because I knew no one else would. Amen.

So come on by and relive all your game.com favorites.
(I'd say, "You'll be glad you did," but we both know you'll regret it.)

I remember seeing those games on a Best Buy shelf and thinking "Man those games look so cool!!!" I wouldve been pretty disappointed had I actually got my mom to buy me any game.com stuff. To me they are about as worthless as those V-tech systems

I'm gonna check this site out. I have long considered the game.com to be the worst system ever.
BUT, i am a sucker for underdog systems. I might have to dig mine out of storage and give it another try.

There's a PC emulator for Game.com that works pretty good. That's about as far as I'd go!

Commercials page: You accidentally posted the same commercial twice. Top and bottom ones.
I wanted one of these when they were new. I thought I'd be able to surf the full web, chat, play the games online. lol. Looking back, I'm glad I bought a pager instead. Not even joking.
I like the site! I'll spend some more time there.

All right, I'll be the one to ask, as I couldn't seem to find the answer on your site: Can the Game.com still connect to the Internet today?

You've done a great job, by the way--from the crisp screenshots to the generous downloads. Thank you. Also, if anyone knows of a similar site for the R-Zone, I'd be interested in checking it out. Here is one for the Virtual Boy.

Sure, why not? There are still plenty of providers that continue to offer dial-up internet. So nothing much has changed, you'll still need: a game.com + game.com Internet kit + dial-up modem + dial-up ISP + phone line + patience + an appetite for the absolutely zany. But I'll leave that adventure for someone else.
