Default Phantasy Star Online is 20 YEARS OLD

Can't believe this game, as of January 29th in North America, is 20 years old. I can remember being an active member on these forums all those years ago and playing this game with the likes of DP, punkoffgirl, Bhvrd and more...

I haven't posted here in many years but thought I'd stop by and say thanks for being a community I could escape into when I was a teenager in the early 2000s gaming on my Dreamcast.

Anyone else having some major PSO nostalgia right about now?

I remember walking 5 miles home from the mall with Phantasy Star Online and a Dreamcast keyboard the week it came out. I had over 650 hours on just one of my characters. And each VMU could only hold one. I wish I still had all those VMUs today. I made friends that I kept in touch with for years afterward. Sometimes we would do a run and then just stand in the garden where Dark Falz appears and chat about our day for an hour or more.

PSO became the reason I got broadband (and paid like $200 for a bba on ebay).

I remember writing awful fan fiction on the PSO-World forums.

I still play the Gamecube title occasionally.

I have fond memories playing pso for so many sleepless nights.Going from playing it on dreamcast and gamecube.Even when i completed the game with one character and id start again with another for fun. It's hard to believe PSO is 20 years old at this point really, how time flies and making me even feel more old.I still have most of my characters for the gc version of pso.I've seen as well you can even use a wii to play gc,pso on private servers.
