Truly Video Olympics is one of those classic games for the original Atari. I used to play this game quite a lot back during 1989 & 1988 starting during the summer time of 1988. That console was a hand-me-down from my father that my older siblings used to play and included a lot of games including this one. The Video Olympics themselves are a nice variety of Pong games with different attributes, making for a fun mix of options. I believe that you can play the game versus the computer or versus another human, and during the day when my family was more willing to play video games versus me, I believe I was able to try both modes and so those were good times.
These 2024 Paris, France Olympic Games started me thinking about going back and playing the good old Video Olympics for Atari. What are your memories of playing this video game? Which video games, Atari or otherwise, have the Olympics been making you think of buying or playing? Have you played this game during the last few years? Has this post inspired you to join the Video Olympics yourself?
This definitely would be a fun game to play at a tournament or championship at a classic retro gaming expo!
