Sega Genesis Flashback 2018 issue

Hello,

Haven't posted here in quite a while...been a member here for many years. I have the sega genesis flashback ...the AT games 2018 version. This is the one with the sd card capabilities. It also has ability to play cartridges. I will say this version is 100 times better than the 2017 version in terms of emulation

The problem is, the cartridge slot won't read ANY of my sega genesis carts. The loading bar comes up when i boot it up as if its loading the rom, but then nothing...it loads...and the cartridge option is still grayed out so i cant choose it. It's not a huge deal since i have an actual sega genesis and i have the full genesis rom set on the sd card, but it would be nice if it was fully functional.

Anyway, has anybody had a similar issue with this system?

I cleaned all my cart pins so i know they should work fine

Ok figured the problem out. Was simply my power supply. I switched to a power cord I use on my raspberry pi and the cart slot works great. Just wasn't getting correct power before
