So Vmware founder sold his creation. Which many people are using right now, even before that sale.
With Vmware you literally could run your OS on another OS with little problem.
Imagine running Windows 7-11 on your Leopard PPC Mac, rather then using Wine and gambling the programmer actually made it Windows Universal ( meaning from Win 3 to Windows 7-11 you can run whichever Windows program because it does not use DOS or specfici features included with XP and 2000/NT ) series, you can run it with Wine.
The problem with VMware right now is the lack of Direct X 12 support.
It can detect Direct X 12 but you need to optimize ( program the driver ) or
have something like Open VMware Tools in order to use Direct X 12 ). In fact
I mention this because in order for me to play something like "Starfield" I have to
A. Install at least that version of Windows.
or
B. Apply a fix or patch that will force Starfield to work on my Windows machine despite what number it is.
This is why Vmware is important among many reasons, outside of trail and test or having a personal virtual computer for work/employment or something along those lines ( like the way you can have a work-account in Android using Shell ( whatever the tool name is ), or have as many accounts within Linux. But with virtualization ( which you can do on your android phones ) the other user can only see that OS and nothing else
As a person using it for videogames directX12 is a must. It was finally accomplished using an M series mac.
....................
Why buy a M series mac?
A. Apple is the only store that is Nintendo that needs to talk on the phone with you to get anything done.
They are literally like calling your health-insurance-card number to verify you are active. For that one reason I do not like Apple, but unless your a super-hacker/safe-cracker etc it is impossible to install anything within Apple iOS and get it to run outside the store. The operating system is one thing but the iOS is another entirely.
So why not? Make Apple your doctor that feels you up and stick things inside of you.
Use Vmware for everything else.
Anyhows checkout Vmware ( wherever you get it from ) for the OSX/MacOS or even your early Intel and late PPC macs. Even the unofficial updates to the PPC should be able to run a version of Vmware.
That M2 blows everything else away in terms of electrical costs
and servicing.
