One of my personal childhood and adulthood favorites!

Crystal Warriors is a turn-based strategy video game developed and published by SEGA for the portable Game Gear video game console at Japan during 1991 and at Europe and North America during 1992. Crystal Warriors was re-released for the 3DS Virtual Console in 2013. A Japan-only sequel, Royal Stone, was published in 1995 and fan translated into English years afterward.

Crystal Warriors stars a sorceress princess named Iris who fights the evil Jyn to reclaim the elemental crystals and defeat the overlord.

The game is round-based with weapons, rock paper scissors like elemental spells, towns to visit, and monsters to defeat. The setting and gameplay of Crystal Warriors are somewhat reminiscent of the Shining Force series.

The character designs and animations were created by Kugatsuhime. The Japanese name of the game was (アーリエル クリスタル伝説) "Ariel: Legendary Crystal."
