I think I'm f-ed in Xenogears :(

I think I'm screwed in XG. I'm at Duneman's Island nd the way the Yggdrisl got itself parked is practically on the deseret section of the island where the name flashes up to enter the area. Which means now I'm having trouble getting back ON the airship to leave...and help...please?

I assume you've tried entering the area from different angles and pushing the button at different times?

Failing that, hope you have a backup save. For any RPG I play I keep at least two or three files and save back and forth between them so I'm never losing too much just in case.

Out of curiosity, I fired up an old Xenogears save and tried to get myself stuck on Duneman. It didn't work. No matter how many times I landed the airship on the entrance to the desert, the game always let me re-board the ship, even when the name of the desert was showing. So I have no idea how you could be stuck there.

Anyway, SoulBlazer's right. It's always a good idea to have a backup save for any game into which you've sunk a lot of time.

Could be the case of Kaine23 playing an earlier version of the game that was quietly fixed in later pressings.

Anyhow, got out of it, I'm flying dandy again and continuing my money hunts for items before Deus.
