I must be the one guy on the planet that actually thinks Cybermorph is a good game. Call me crazy, but I think that Cybermorph is one of the 10 best Jaguar games.

I believe that Cybermorph was the cart game, that was packed in with the system, and Battlemorph was the sequel for the CD attatchment.

I think Cybermorph is OK, but Battlemorph is much better.

As for the original post - I believe the differences are that some of Skylar's phrases are removed from the second version, and possibly a different title screen. Basically, the cart was pared down to fit a 2-meg cart rather than the original 4 meg cart.

***Breaking news bulletin -- the above recollection is slightly inaccurate. Check here for details:

Yeah but...here is the kicker to this story. There was a little article in EGM a few years back. They were doing a piece on game devolpers. This one was on the very company that develped Cybermorph and Battlemorph for Atari.
Here is the quote I still remember "We had a really great game here, but Atari said it used too much rom. Even though this version only used 1.2 megs. Atari wanted a more crappy version which used no more than 552K"

I liked cybermorph as well In fact, it was one of the only console games to ever have a scoring contest at my house, probably because it's one of the only console that actually <gasp> SAVED high scores.
