Default FA: Pathetically rare Koei Pasogo handheld console +NES

    http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...&sort=3&rows=0

Another round of weekly auctions. Check out the Pasogo just for kicks- it's a really unusual handheld cart system that deserves no attention.

Also, some sealed NES games and other stuff up this week.

    Fro Pik!

Default To make a long story even longer

So over the years (eases back into uncomfortably plush lazyboy) I've had some interesting trade arrangements. Oddly my only trading partners in Japan have been people I've met through eBay, and not video game collectors.

Both of the guys I've traded with wanted calculators, and I met them by making a comment to them after they won some of my auctions. Both had a little trouble picking up stuff I wanted, though one seemed to actually have access to some form of market. Oddly, I was trading with one guy, when he bailed out, and then within a month the other guy popped up. The second guy just came up with random stuff and never exactly understood what I was serious about, so I just took whatever he came up with.

The Koei handheld was one of these random items, in addition to some cool and less cool handhelds- he didn't really come up with regular carts. Probably not a popular or exorbitantly valuable item in Japan, although thought to be rather rare, so who knows.

Now that I'm unpacking my collection, items like this take short scrift to the classic stuff that really gets my blood pumping. The reserve on the item is $50, which is high and low. I don't know. It's impossible to know what this type of item should be valued at when I've never seen one offered anywhere.

If you do a google search there is only one page about this system, and I think that I should probably take alot more pictures of it before I let it go because it deserves a few more pix on the web.

Cool system. Weird but cool. Also like the blind t-shirt your selling.

I'm a huge fan of KOEI stuff.

The one Googled page doesn't offer much - it pokes fun at the system more than it gives good info:

It'd still be a cool conversation piece for KOEI fans.

    And subsequently, ** BUMP **

Slapdash met the reserve on the Pasogo- thanks! At least I know that if he wins it, it won't go undocumented.

And with my passing on of the Pasogo, I bow to Russ (Slapdash) as the all around collector king of cartridge systems. I drew the line because I've run out of space. Still, I haven't seen Russ' bachelor pad. Must be jam stacked full of goodies. Russ, party at your place next time I'm in town? I'll bring the Chimay?

. Well, of course, let me know what else you're getting rid of then. I pulled a few things off of SlyDC a while back; maybe it's your turn.

Party? Where?!? I guess out on the patio, such as it is... My place is QUITE a mess.

    I'll bring the Chimay?
Sure thing, though I prefer Orval. ;-)

Keep in mind that is actual footage of a boxer being "pumped up" between rounds in Ring King for NES.
