    Default PSX Twin Sticks

The controller I'm trying to find more about is about halfway down the page, and is mentioned as being made for Armored Core:
    http://www.vidgame.net/SONY/peripherals.htm

Achika commented in another thread a while back that it may work for Ace Combat as well. I bought it used on a whim hoping to get a converter and use it for DC VOOT, but I never got around to it. Now I'm clearing out the stuff I never use and I'd like more info so I can figure out a fair price to sell it for, or what to even call the thing should I try the eBay approach. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Drew

That controller ROCKS! I got mine for $5, a steal. I use it for Ace Combat 2 and it's simply priceless. Can't say much about Armored Core unfortunately....

I dont know how helpful this is, but my Air Combat (ace combat 1) doesnt have anything about it in the manual or the back cover.
Ace Combat 2 however does support it, and refers to it as the "Analog Joystick" (PAL version, so make of that what you will).

According to the Ace Combat 2 manual the left stick is for acceleration and deceleration, and the right stick is for up, down, left right.
In Expert mode: Left stick is for aceleration/deceleration and yaw left and right. Right stick is same as novice mode.

    Damn, now i want one

I remember that stick, used it once to play Ace Combat2 back in 97 at Funco Land. I found that this stick made the game difficult. Using a dualshock was a lot better.

No shit? I've got all 3 Armored Core games for the PS1 and they don't mention anything about being compatible with the analog joystick controller. Although I did find a few games work very well with it even though they aren't marked as being compatible such as Treasures of the Deep.

If anyone is looking for one of these joysticks, I have an extra one to trade. PM me if interested.
