Why is the PS2 version typically $49 retail and XBOX version $19?
Aren't they essentially the same gaming experience?
I hope this isn't a stupid question, but why is one so much higher than the other?

The PS2 version is the superior version in more ways than one.
The Xbox and GC version were developed by the now defunct EA Seattle while the PS2 version was developed by Black Box (now developing all 4 version of NFS Underground).
Both the GC and Xbox version suffer from poor handling, choppy frame rates and a couple less features compared to the PS2 version.
IGN did a comparison article but it requires and insider account.
actually the PS2 version is $19.99 as well. my wife picked it up for me at Target on Monday.
