Yep, I bought a used N64 cartridge of Blast Corps, and all the levels are already completed! :-( How do I erase the cart and start fresh?

The memory card plugs into the controller right? Hmmm... I didn't really want to spend extra money, but if that's the only solution... (shrug) oh well.
yeah it goes in the controller.i know in the jap version on blast corps it tells you in the book how to erase it .if you have the book read it.otherwise you could always open the cart remove the battery then put it back in.Originally Posted by theaveng
I don't think the battery solution would work as all the N64 carts I've taken apart, none of them used batteries. They all used EEPROM.
It's been a while since I've read any manual but if my memory isn't failing, you can hold Start, L, and R button when powering up the N64. That should get you into a special menu for setting memory cards, transferring them, and clearing them. This should help reset Blast Corps.
Taken from Gamefaqs.com ... try it out:
How do I erase the game on the Memory Chip?
Press the Start button when you turn on
the Nintendo 64. An Game Erase Option
Screen will appear
Sounds easy enough. Cross your fingers and see if it works
(CHEER!) Yep, it worked. I think this will make a cool game for my 3-yr-old nephew. Driving contruction trucks and knocking things down... he'll love it. :-)
NE146, I just noticed you're still "cherry." Maybe you should spend less time "beating 'n eating" and more time going after the girls!
(ducking and running)

Blast Corps is actually a pretty tough game, especially the levels where you have to pull donuts with the dump truck to knock down buildings... a lot of the levels have a pretty strict time limit as well.
But it is IMO one of the best N64 games.
