    Default My first complete collection!

With the acquiring of Darxide today:

I have completed my first collection! 26 GREAT games for the European 32X. All boxed, but I miss the booklet of doom and cosmic carnage. But that's just a formality.

It may be one of the smallest game collection a console has, but with games like Darxide and Primal Rage, I'm pretty happy with it.

Doesn't it look great to have all those boxes lined up on a shelf like that?

    Congrats!

    Default Congrats!!!

WOW!! You did it! :-) Very jealous .... I wish I could find a Darxide! Been looking for long enough, you would think I might have turned it up in a dark corner *somewhere*, but no. Stellar Assault and Night Trap 32X CD are not the easiest to come by either, so that is a pretty impressive collection.

How far are you off your Saturn collection? Is that next, or do you have other goals first? Or are you just going to bask in the glory of your 32X collection for a while?

I had a complete Cosmic Carnage a while back ... if I had known I would have sent you the manual just to make it complete. Have you played all the games? Which would you say was best & worst. My limited experience tells me that worst will be a tough competition ... with Cosmic Carnage, Corpse Killer and Supreme Warrior all being strong contenders .....

Night trap isn't that hard to come by, it just goes for a high price on ebay. I think the only real hard games are Darxide and Primal Rage (when was the last time you saw one on ebay??).

31 more games for the Saturn collection. I'm not in a hurry though, so it might still take quite some time. Besides, as you said, I'm too busy basking in Darxide's glory for the moment .

I haven't played all games, since I don't have a megacd. I can't say that I mind though, the cd games don't seem that inviting.

I would say the best (as in 'worth playing') are Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter, Star wars arcade, Space harrier, Mortal Kombat 2, Metal Head, Kolibri, Knuckles Chaotix, Doom, Darxide and Afterburner. I don't remember much from the other games, and I think that's best.

I don't see Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Did they not release that in Europe? The 32X version is not much better then the SNES version, but I do like that game.

The only other 32X games I kept was Star Wars, Zaxxon 2000, Space Harrier, and After Burner.

    Congratulations sir!
May I ask how much you paid for Darxide, or is that just rude?

btw, I may have a spare manual for Doom, if you want it?

I paid 200 euros for it, including shipping from Spain.

I'm definately interested in a manual for doom, please send me a pm about it.

Pretty reasonable sum, considering the loose one a week or two back went for $212.
I'll check for the Doom manual tonight, and PM you later.

my 32X collection isn't very big yet, but i'm on my way

    Stellar Assault
    Supreme Warrior
    Virtua Fighter
    Virtua Racing Deluxe
    Motherbase
    NBA JAM
    Space Harrier

most others are easy to get, but DarXide will of course be a pain in the ass

    CONGRATULATIONS!

That's an AWESOME price for DarXide!

I've got a complete USA collection and the 3 imports, but I'd love to have the complete UK and Japanese carts.

    Default Fifa

Fifa plays OK ... as a series of football games, they were not bad. Certainly a lot better than things like World Cup USA '94. If you really want to know, it is pretty easy to get hold of, and is not region locked. You can probably pick it up over here for $3 - $5 ... I picked up at least 3 copies in shops round town, all about that much. Not as good as Sensible Soccer though. If you really want a soccer game, get that (available on Megadrive or Mega CD)

With honourable mentions for ISS Deluxe and Striker, both very competent MD footy games (though Striker is surprisingly rare).

Striker rare? Does that mean it's valuable too? I still have a new one.

Congrat, BTW, 32X isn't the smallest complete collection, Virtual Boy US collection is even smaller, in fact, back in early 97, you can go to Toys R Us and get complete US VB collection for under $200, all new and complete except Mario Tennis box version. The smallest but difficult to get complete collection is N.O.U.N, anyone can shed light on the number of releases?

Speaking of 32X, the best game in US is Kolibri.

If I remember right, it was something like 7 games, but only like two worth noting (Tempest 3000 and Iron Soldier III, I believe).

Congrats, man! Those are some really beee-utiful pics you've got them of them too! I wish I had something complete, I'm still working on all my systems... my closest is probably my NGPC collection (17 games total, 2 imports).

Nah, the best 32x game is Virtua Fighter, hands-down. Kolobri is the best 2-D shooter on the 32x... ok, it's also the only 2-D shooter on the 32x.

    Nah, I doubt it.
I've only seen one copy among the 9000+ MD games I've seen on eBay recently whilst compiling info for the rarity list [which, based purely on this relatively small sample group, makes it rarer than Megaman: Wily Wars, Alien Soldier and Havoc, to name a few], and that was just a loose cart.
Even so, I'd be surprised to see it sell for much more than £10, since it's not a 'known' rarity. A shame really, cos I've got a complete mint copy that I only paid 50p for.
