I had done the review on the PS2 when I was in high school for the paper and kept in touch with the writer, Bill Hutchins. I didn't see him for a while, then one day, out of the blue, I saw him at my store (gamestop at the time) and he thought my situation would make a good story, sort of show how games aren't a negative thing that secludes people, but can bring people out of seclusion, a year later, we did the article...simple as that.

What's this all about? Who uses this besides you?The collectors have adopted a point system that O'Brien devised as the way to rate collections - 10 points for the rarest machines, on down to one point for common items.
Sounds like the DP rarity categories. R1 thru R10. That is no doubt what they are referring to.
Things are always slightly screwed up in the newspaper. It's a good thing to always remember actually.

Hmm...shouldn't "console" mean only stand-alone machines? The Nintendo 64 DD is just an add-on unit for the base N64 unit.
