Here's a "follow up" to the beanie auction by the same guy.
Now he's letting you buy him a beer

I guess this is his 15 minutes.
And that was 20 minutes ago.Originally Posted by Griking

That woman is so stupid! She tells him they are possibly fake, then places a bid anyway? WTF If he knew or not, she still bid!! Then to bid and get blocked, then bid with another name too, that's ultra crazy! Buyer beware is what the say. She has taken this pretty far with all the places she has reprted him to. I bet he'll have to give some sort of refund or spend 10x that on lawer fees. She should have just stayed away from this auction after his response alone.
I have to agree. Is every person who sells on ebay going to be required to validate every collectible piece they sell? I can understand that if I sold an Atari Heavy Sixer on ebay and guaranteed it was authentic and I was wrong, then I owe someone a refund. However, if I put an ad in ebay which says "Atari 2600 in good condition" I shouldn't owe anyone anything.Originally Posted by Funk Buddy

Take a look at this item in her feedback:

Complaint : LIEING HORRIBLE THEIF, STAY AWAY FROM HER, NEEDS TO BE BANNED FROM EBAY
Response by glorybeeto - Sold teenies for beanies. Who is LIEING (sic) and who is the THEIF (sic?) ??
Perhaps she's on a beanie baby piracy crusade? x_x

Maybe it is his ex-wife.Originally Posted by CueWarrior
Okay, so he lied. The story was still as funny as all hell.
Seriously, if she asks a questions, and then doubts its authenticity, why bid?
Someone needs to smack that stupid bitter old lady....
now he's got a website and another liquid appreciation auction.

He's still married and was just having some fun from with that description.Originally Posted by tynstar
I bought some anime DVDs on eBay and when they finally arrived, they were all boot leg shit! I was stuck with them since I used BidPay to pay for my wins. Didn't know if the CC companies would reverse a charge on a cash advance, so I ate the $200 loss. All were listed like they were originals, but they were far from it. In hind sight... I should have thought something was up. I still have them today and man are they bad!! The dubbs are so full of errors and sometimes don't match the action or they are not there all together.Originally Posted by CueWarrior
This lady just made this guy a freaking hundredaire.
For as much hell as she caused, this guy rakes in $175 on his first liquid asset auction? And now he is selling clothes?
Either that or this whole lawsuit is a lie too....
Anyway, I personally think eBay should be buyer beware.
If it doesn't have a picture (or uses a stock photo), don't buy it.
If you have any questions, ask BEFORE bidding.
If the seller doesn't answer your questions, don't buy it!
"Well, they looked fake and I told him he shouldn't sell them but I bought them anyway without verifying their authenticity" is just plain DUMB.
The buyer should make the effort to research what they are buying before hurriedly clicking that shiny bid button.
Now if the seller outright LIES, then thats a different story...

If that's true than I'm guilty of that too. I used to have just one account to buy and sell with, but now I buy with one and only sell with the other (original ID) for the most part.Originally Posted by Griking
You can have multiple accounts. You just can't bid on the items in your other account and vice versa. I have 2.
Multiple accounts ARE legal?
Wow, that just seems to invite abuse.
Why would a person really need multiple accounts? I can only think of reasons why people shouldn't have multiple accounts (shilling, avoid suspensions, joke bids, etc...)
