Default Full Throttle 2: Hell On Wheels axed

Just curious about how the people on this board feel about the fact that FT2 will not be released. I don't know if I should be angry at Lucasarts, or pleased with their quality control. It makes me wonder if they simply want to spend their time spewing forth Star Wars titles.

Um... I may be imagining this, but isn't this news like 5 months old?

they axed it just after E3, I believe
one time collector of consoles...I've had them all, literally. I'm now selling everything to raise money for Northwest Harvest, a charity that provides food and clothing for families in need in the Northwestern United States.

    Default Ahhhhh poopie.

If they round file Sam and Max hit the road, I'm going to blow up Lucasarts.

That said, if it prevented the appearance of another classic Lucasarts title being bolloxed up (*cough*StarWarsI&II*cough*) then i can't complain too loudly. Sometimes one is enough of a good thing. I'd love to see a Grim Fandango sequel, fat chance of that I guess.

Some speculated that Full Throttle 2 would not have been worthy of its predecessors anyway, as it didn't involve Tim Schafer. Still, Schafer's Xbox adventure title, Psychonauts, seems to be shaping up nicely.

From what I saw of Full Throttle 2 at E3 -- and, man, don't I wish I had that beta -- it was an ill-advised attempt at a 3D action/adventure. I distinctly recall a really crappy fighting sequence. No one who saw the E3 version came away impressed. It was a good kill.

I agree, It has been too long without a new appearance from our pals sam & max. I still read the comics in the manual and hint book, and I crack up everytime. I heard there was a comic collection somewhere, but it is impossible to find, and is damn expensive

Y'know, the Sam & Max TV episodes are quite easy to find on P2P.
