    Default The One Thing

Tell me, gamers... collectors... what is the ONE thing you have (video game related) that you would never part with? You've lost everything. Your home, all of your worldly possessions... but this ONE thing you'll take to the grave. Or untill I pry it from your skeletal hands BWAHAHA.

If you'd sell this ONE thing to save your home, list that instead.

If you'd never keep ANYTHING you own facing not making that foreclosure payment or mafia guy coming to "collect one way or another", post that here instead too.

Nothing in the world would convience me not tp part with something if it was serious enough. You can rebuild a collection and regain games but it's all just tools.

The one thing I'd part with last? Suikoden II and my hint book.

My NES, of course. I had it even before I was born, seriously. Even after all the years I've had it, I have had no major problems. I never had to get a new NES, and I don't intend to. Mine is truly blessed.

My DIgital Press price guide. You may think it sounds ridiculos but tehres a story. I was getting nachos at CGE2k2 and Joe comes up to me. He asks me if I ahve this book and I said no but I need one. He said here have this one behalf of him and the rest of Digital Press. He hopes I stay with the hobby. I almost cryed I felt so honored. I never fit in like I did then.
Somebody make me a "CGE 2k7 Attendee banner" so I don't have to use this lame text

well, i've bought and sold a ton of things, since it's still easy to get NES and 2600 games,.... I would keep the Neo-Geo for sure.

Any of my Zelda games. They have their own little place of honor in my collection.
I only need 2 more NES games (US)!

Wow....toughie. I have a ton of obscure and rare games, and honestly, there are only two I'd REALLY consider. This is so commonplace, and I'm a FF hater (for the PSX/PS2 ones!) but I'd have to say Final Fantasy 3 (complete) plus the strategy guide. The second contender was Suikoden 2 + guide

There's nothing on earth that I wouldn't sell to keep a house over me and my family, with the possible exception of my immortal soul.

    oh boy.....

well, a tie for first (we'll leave this up to a game of rock, paper, scissor) is my boxed Odyssey or my Ms. Pac Man Coleco tabletop.

To me, there's happiness in both of them.

What he said. And since I work in the news media, even the sale of my soul is negotiable.

My Starfox Super Weekend cart. I love Starfox and this was the crown jewel of my collection. Although like some others said if it was between me and my family I would sell it.

Hmm....what an interesting question. Well, I'm a player, not a "collector," so my collection's always in flux. I've sold/traded items I said I'd *never* part with just because I was ready to move on. But the four items I shall never, ever sell would be my 4 Hozer-made hacks - Mystery Science Theatre 2600; Blair Witch Project, HozerQuest; and the original fully-working proto of Venture II (Made before the Treasure Chest Editions).

I will also never ever part with my Videogame Commerical Archive DVD or my Stella at 20 Vol. 1 and 2 DVDs - the only ones in existance that I had custom made.

Hmm. I can honestly day that I have nothing that would fit into this category for me. It could all be reacquired if something were to happen. But I'd be pretty sad if I lost my old NES.
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

Whoa. I'm really honored that two of you have chosen things that I've personally given you. I'm happy that those things found a good home and mean that much!

I don't think there's ANYTHING I own that I wouldn't sell if it came right down to it, but there are a few things I'd sell last, and that's mainly because they, too, are things people have given me.
