There is, but it requires something called Vinyl dye. Its a spray can, like spray paint but it's not a paint, it actually dyes the plastic. You can get it at most auto stores. The light blue or blue grey will work. If the top is puke collored to you can still dye it but the logo will go bye bye. Nintendo sure got a crappy plastics supplier.

Great find Matt! Complete too.. cool!

I've got a spare SNES "shell", you know the cover and base plastic. I you wanted to 'try' that dye thing, you may experiment on my shell if you want. If it works, I've got the tool to disassemble your SNES, so it could be painted.

I suppose one could try steel wool or bleach on this shell too, just to see what happens. My personal SNES is yellowed, and I'd be interested to try some solutions.

well, im about to make an experiment of it...i think im gonna try quite a few things...maybe an over cleaner/water solution, since the over cleaner is a corrosive, maybe that might work...sand paper, steel wool...with bleach prolly...i dunno, but its gonna be worth it i bet

If you break the plastic case in half, you will see it has changed color all the way threw. I used to think it was caused by smoking, but it turns out to just be crappy plastic.

Exposure to UV will dull the plastic. Sunchine and fluorescent lamp can do that. Ever notice how yellow the display SNES looked at Toys R Us? I've seen one that had the yellowness of piss from someone with urinary tract infection :P

I have a couple older SNES, One is all yellow/brown on top except for the cart flap and the eject button. The bottom half is completely unblemished. It's just the quality issue with plastic.

Yeah but if you have the security gamebit, you can tear the SNES apart, grab a can of your favorite color and paint 'em. Problem solved.

like I said, you can make it look like new with Vynil Dye, not paint. Paint on plastic looks like, well, paint.

it has to do with how much water you get. if it is yellow, you are dehydrated. obviously, you are not so dehydrated that you are going to fall over and die, but you are dehydrated none the less. I ran Cross Country in high school, and during the day while waiting for school to end and have a race you would try to drink enough water to make your urine clear, that way you would be properly hydrated and would be able to run your best possible race.

Actually if you take a lot of vitamins your pee will be Very yellow.
So yellow pee can be a sign of good health.
