FFXI hasn't been released in the US for all that long. I can't find the exact release date, but I'm almost positive that it was sometime this month.

How can it be nominated for any awards? One would think that it wouldn't be eligible until next year.

Awards are always a sucker's game...but it is a sad commentary on the industry that all 3 nominations for best music are games with little to no original music in them.

VC doesn't need original music. Rockstar licensed so much quality content that it's like getting free CD's with the game.

Whoa, Planetside's in that list? I've heard a lot of terrible things about that game recently, and it looks like it's starting to die out :P
