Default Specific parts in games you dread

It's that stage again... oh no. I don't want to fight this friggin' boss. There's too many enemies in this section. How the f**k do you expect me to jump that? ARGH! I hate this cavern! So... many... random... encounters...

When do you get like this in any game? Of all the times I've played through Super Mario RPG, there was no part that I hated more than the wedding at Marrymore. Could you blame me if I had to go through the scene 200 times because I had lots of difficulty trying to kill the f**king Bundt cake? That thing's a real tough! The battle with Yaridovich is also one of the hardest fights in the game, IMO. That f**king water blast... cheezus. There should be a law against the damage that thing does. x_x

I also hate going through stage 6 of R-Type. What a f**king pain... there isn't even a boss at the end of the stage, just lots of those f**king Dops. F**kers...

Anyone else have any scenes in games they hate going through?

I'm in the middle of Metroid Prime right now and I can tell you I hate those damn Chozo spirits.

One bit that comes to mind is level 7-1 of Revenge of Shinobi. There is one jump that you have to use ninja magic to make and even then you have to hit it perfectly. That's the only part of the game where I die.

Also the annoying RC missions on GTAVC.

And I agree about those dream sequences.

Neil, you triggered a forgotten memory. I hate that stage too. The jumps are just impossible. Those f**kers jumping out of the water and trying to bean you with kunai daggers didn't really help matters either. I also hated stage 8-2 the first time because I was lost in that labryinth. Sega was evil on that game. I would expect no less.

Word on the Max Payne dream sequences.

I hate any cinema that comes before a really difficult part, ensuring you've got to see it again and again.

I hate the psuedo 3d parts of the Contra games, they piss me off.

I hate in all racing games when you're right at the finish line and that car right behind you gets a sudden boost of cheapness.

Cinemas? No! The Getaway! Why oh why didn't they let you skip those things? This made replaying more or less any section of the game somewhat less enjoyable for me.
I think I was lucky on Max Payne - I found you could jump to more or less the end of the blood trail if you went from the right bits (possibly just a glitch in the game though, who knows.) As long as I kept the camera pointing down (ie - Max looks at his shoes) walking about wasn't too tough either.
Dead to Rights though, with its endlessly spawning enemies (one of the later levels in an office enterance perhaps..don't really remember) and almost invisable pitfalls (Mine type level) were painful.
Mortal Kombat II - the bosses...
Shredder on TMNT:Fall Of The Foot Clan
And probably many more, the memories of which I've repressed.

As I recall, the first form of the Bundt cake is susceptible only to timed hits. It's easy enough once you get that down.

Yaridovich is indeed a pain, though. (Come to think of it, Jynx was a little harder if you didn't level up sufficiently.)

I dont know if this counts. But when you die in Big Nose Caveman that music sucks so bad. I dotn ahve a Japenese memory card so I keep having to play teh same levels of Wario Ware over and over. I dont mind it but its getting kind of repetitive.

I agree... those long ass cinema scenes kill the replay value for me. I have been able to skip them sometime but I think you have to load a game and play a mission first.

Any part of any RPG where you can see where you want to go, but you have a random battle every single step on the way to it. SOOOOO ANNOYING.

From the Old Timers category: In arcade Galaga, I have this odd hang-up about Stage 9. If I'm going to f--k something up it's going to be on this stage. I guess it has something to do with just knowing that 10 is aorund the corner. 10 is something of "break" level as there is no divebombing or shooting until all the bugs arrive in formation, so when I get to 9 I start thinking, "Oh, better not mess up here" and wind up doing just that around 7 times out of every 10. Ponderous, man .

Ugh, isn't that Chinatown (can't remember?) There's a jump off a street light onto a rooftop (or vice versa...) that I never have made yet, so that's where I'm stuck in the game.

Two things immediately come to mind:

1.Kid Icarus, opening level. I've played this game to death and still dread the opening level. Maybe Nintendo was utilizing a Memento styled gimmick where the games played in reverse, because the final battle is a JOKE compared to the first level.

2.Card Fighters Clash, 20 Man Gauntlet. I've lost to the #18 and #19 guy about 6 times total and cried like a lost child. Hopefully passing this thing is worth it!

I hate loading screens and cinemas you can't skip through.
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.
