It came out some time between 18/11/01 and black Friday of that year, as I recall seeing it in Best Buy that day, but I know it did not launch with the GCN.

That sounds right. I remember renting it at Blockbuster around that time. Of course, I may just not have seen it until then.

well it makes sense to us, anyways i think the nintendo.com is wrong, i thought gamecube didn't have pre-releases

no, if you'd be honest, it doesn't, the only reason it makes sense to you is that you are used to it and have used and heard it your whole life, but there is no scientific, logical, whatever reason to use your format
