Default Starting my SNES collection today, with one item to trade!

Okay guys, today I decided that I would start collecting SNES stuff. I know there is a long road ahead of me, and I'm ready! I've looked up all the thrift stores in my area, and I can't wait to get started!

My wife is even going to help me, which is awesome!

So to start out, I only have one game to trade. "Mojo" for Xbox. Since I'm starting out, ANY game or piece of an SNES will do (ie controller).

Also, I was wondering what tools I could use to help me in my search. Is there a list of all the SNES games and products anywhere? That way I can make a check list and check them off as I go. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Thanks for the help guys, I'll head over and get the rarity list now.

I think what I'm going to do is get what I can right now, but eventually I want the boxes and manuals as well. Right now the priority is the games though. But I need the number one priority...the system, now hehe.

Thanks for the welcome as well, I've been reading these forums for a month or two now and I have to say that they're some of the best I've been to.

there was a boxed snes at my salvation army this past week... i can go check if it's still there tomorrow if you'd like. they wanted $15 for it, and it wasn't in the greatest shape, pretty dirty, but cleanable.

also, i just wanted to share my personal love of the snes... easily one of my favorite systems, and the first i started collecting for. unfortunately i've put snes on the back burner for now though, dreamcast taking precedence. the snes and the 2600 are the two systems that i kept through childhood... good choice to collect for!

If you were to go get it for me, how much would you part with it for? And did it include controllers or hook-ups, anything of that sort? Thanks.

honestly, if jonjandran has a nice snes for you, i'd go with that... cuz this one looked pretty ugly. it had all the hookups and two controllers, but the controller cords were frayed a bit. and like i said... pretty dirty. the box was the killer instinct version, but the cart and soundtrack were not present...

so, talk to jonjandran, and then if you still want me to get pick the snes up for you (provided it's still there), i'd be more than happy to give it to you for $15 + shipping.

Ill give you a couple of suggestions-

    1. Print that SNES guide out.
    2. Memorize the ones that are R6's and above.
    3. Get those puppies first.
    4. I would suggest going for a cart only collection, then go for the rest of the stuff.
    5. Talk to Darth Vader, because im sure he has a crapload of doubles.
    6. Get a couple of massive lots on ebay for cheap. (usually ones with sports games go for only 10 bucks or so, and usually have 7-10 games in the lot)

Also ill give you another welcome to the boards, and always check out my trade list in my sig.
    (Just added some SNES)

Thanks for the advise once again. I love these boards!

I'll be sure to talk to Darth Vader in a couple weeks or so, right now I'm on my ship (I'm in the Navy) and we have to get underway for the week, I'll be back Friday, then leave Monday again for another week.

Vader, if you're reading this and have any doubles, mail me at myerscm@churchill.navy.mil you can reach me on the ship all week at that addey.

    Later,
    Chad

Actually, talk to dave2236 for my SNES duplicates. He is selling off all of my SNES titles that I had. If you are looking for the rarer titles, you better PM him fairly quick to see what is left.
