I'm trying to check out Sega CD emulation in Gens. When I go to options -> set CD drive, nothing shows up. I have 2 CD drives in my system. Any suggestions as to how to make Gens see them?
Thanks,
Drew

I just reinstalled Windows 2000 on my machine and Gens quit working after a few years with the same problem you are having. From what I remember you need to install the correct ASPI drivers (Adaptec, etc.) to get it working again. I'll give it a go after I do a little more reading tonight and let you know the correct procedure
Here's a old thread that I recalled:

Yep, just needed to get Adaptec's and Nero's aspi driver reinstalled on my machine to get Gens to work. Here's a page with a bunch of Aspi info and download links:

and from the GENS forum here's some good info:

Gens is a great emulator
Worked for me as well, thanks for the tip!
Yeah, the ASPI layer is required not only for Gens, but alot of apps out there that utilize CD drives. I personally use ASPI Fixer (which I believe I got from www.dcemulation.com way back) and it works great. I use it to install ASPI on new system installs all the time. Never fails.
