    Default New Samurai Shodown site

As I'm sure some of you are aware, Samurai Shodown V is quite possibly the best sam sho since 2. Rather then let this game wallow in relative obscurity in the states, a group of guys got together to make a website for competitive Samurai Shodown information, strats, tactics, the works. Think shoryuken.com, but for Sam Sho. The site is www.fierceslash.com, and although its still under construction, the forums are running, and hopefully soon some match vids will be up under the media section.

If you're interested, I suggest you check it out.

I would be compelled to consider that blasphemy under normal circumstances, but seeing as how I actually managed to play the game, then I must agree. However, I only got to play it once, so I still need to learn much, much more about it. But I did pretty good the first try I attempted it. I killed four opponents, then lost at Sankuro. I did it with Genjuro. Booyah.

Yeah, I know I told you all about this. The next chance I get to go back to that market, I'm bringing my quarters.

    Nice site, BTW.

    LAAAAAAST BLAAAAAAAAAAAADE~!

But still, this'll be going into my "Great neo links" folder of bookmarks. Maybe I should get a SamSho higher than 1 someday...

    Sam Sho > Last Blade

They are both great series, but I prefer everything about the Sam Sho games. Character selection, backgrounds, music, gameplay, everything.

How can that be if Cham Cham isn't in Samurai Shodown 5? We can play Galford's dog, but there's no Cham Cham? Phooey.

But I'll reserve judgment until I actually play SS5, which may not be until the PlayStation2 version hits.

Last Blade is a solid series, but I like SS's faster-paced action and character selection better. Setsuna is the shizzle, but Genjuro is the shizzle-dizzle of the nizzle.

I still can't believe I got the chance to play it. It won't be the last time either. I guarantee it. Next time I play, I'll probably go as my other main man, Hanzo. I'd opt for my third main man, Earthquake, but he has not yet returned to the series... sure, he's in SvC Chaos, but it's probably not as good as Samurai Shodown V. Why haven't they resurrected the big, fat E? That's my sole gripe. Everything else about SSV is godly... and yes, I shall end up owning it for some home console.
