Supposedly these shots are taken from the rom. Yea, it is most likely dumped already. Although I'd say these shots are fake, it would be cool as hell if it turns out true.
The question becomes, do we have to use their KoF button presses in order to actually get their moves done. Either way, that would be neat as hell.

Holy crap. It's been a while.
I'm dubious. Not so much because of the relative ease with which images can be faked nowadays, but because I can't believe that anyone would grant boring ol' Clark hidden-character status instead of Ralf.
Even so, I hope the shots are genuine.

I thought Ralf was in there too..I saw a picture of a bunch of character sprites from the game, and one was Ralf. I dunno though.

I'd say fakes. But what SNK needs to do now that theyre looking to expand to a more mainstream audience, is make a Ikari Warriors action game. Its kinda a strech to think that these supposedly Rambo types have nothing else going for them than martial arts tournies held once per year.

WHAT?!?!?
... okay, I'm guessing those shots are bogus. But perhaps, and this isn't likely, there could be some code that you perform at the character selection screen to activate the Ikari Warriors counterparts of Marco (Ralf), Tarma (Clark), Eri (Leona), and Fio (Whip)? I'm not counting on it. It could happen, but it's not probable. Oh, and maybe they could fit Heidern in there somewhere. Once again, I'm doubting it.

Why don't they just throw Paul and Vince in while they're at it?

It's okay, buddy. I know fighting games aren't your schtick.

How do you figure that Paul and Vince = Ralf and Clark?Originally Posted by Sotenga

I've heard from many places that they were the same character. One place is the trivia in the MAME history:Originally Posted by jaydubnb

Well, think of it this way:
Paul and Vince are two people
Ralf and Clark are two people
Heidern was rescued by "paul and vince" in the 3rd game, so therefore they work under him.
Ralf and Clark are supposedly a two man army, in their storyline. Paul and Vince wiped out entire armies on 3 games.
Then you add to that the fact that SNK has been known to fudge details on names and histories and so forth.

Thanks for the lowdown...I didnt even know Heidern appeared in an Ikari game! I always though Paul, Vince, Ralf, Clark were 4 different individuals of Ikari fighters.Originally Posted by ubersaurus

Exactly my point - and Sotenga, even though I don't like fighting games to speak of, I am familiar with Ralf and Clark. As far as I'm concerned, until I see a written statement from SNK stating otherwise, Ralf & Clark and Paul & Vince are two totally separate sets of characters. Ralf & Clark = the Ikari Team, and Paul & Vince = the Ikari Warriors.Originally Posted by ubersaurus
The art of fighting team must have been cryogenically frozen or something then, since the series took place in the 70s, and KOF takes place in the 90s/2000s. SNK never said how that all works, they just fudged it. Like I said, they fudge alot of details.Originally Posted by Dire 51
Actually, the simple way to solve this dilemma is find out what the names of the characters were in the japanese Ikari Warriors game. if Street Fighter 2010 taught us anything, its not to trust the american sides of the companies. If its Paul and Vince in the japanese version, then we'd probably have to go to the source to find out.

Anyhow, looks intriguing. Can't say that the Leona sprite jumps out at me as having been somewhere else before--but it could've been recolored, I suppose.
Oh, duh. Leona's sprite looks like a straight edit of Eri. I have no clue what they got the stance for Clark from, though.
I'd say Tarma. I think it's in the shades.Originally Posted by Ed Oscuro

Another question. Are those backgrounds found elsewhere on the net?
I do think that the game must've been dumped, though, or they've done some editing of BGs already out there. There's no reason to think that a little backwater site would've found some information we haven't yet without using a dump (or an edit).
