at a local thrift I picked up the Centipede board game for $1.80. it was complete and in damn fine condition. just a few wrinkles in the box.
I vaguely remember seeing an article about these in some magazine or something.

Probably the amazing article our own Super-Scribe Joe penned for Tips & Tricks. Good stuff!
I often kick myself when I think about all the times I passed those board games up brand new... and for $0.99.

Selling collection, Atari through XBox. Send a PM with whatever games you're looking for.
I'm despearately trying to find any of these old video game board games...I especially want Pac Man..
I got one of these things last year for five Canadian dollars or so -- mine is a French/English Zaxxon board game, and is in great shape. I've never actually played it, though.
What other board games were made from video games? I remember Turbo and Donkey Kong only (mainly cause I had those 2 games myself when I was a kid).
My Gaming Collection (Now at Google Drive!)
I have the following video game board games:
Pac-Man (actually quite fun)
Ms. Pac-Man (not as good as Pac-Man)
Frogger
Turbo
Super Mario Bros.
Legend of Zelda
I might have some more, I'll add them to the list if I find out.
edit: I just remembered that my 4th grade class had some video game board games:
Pitfall
Jungle Hunt
Berzerk
That's all that I remember.
I have a Q*Bert board game by Parker Bros. - complete - just sitting right here I found the other day. Don't forget Dragon's Lair, Popeye, and Pole Position.
Still Around...Still Gamin'...
Since Super Mario and Zelda came up, I'll add one to the list. Tetris the board game. Amazing that it manages to not entirely suck. I wish I could find more of these things, I only have a few - Tetris, Frogger, and PacMan. I've always wanted to stumble upon that Berzerk one.

How exactly do some of these translate as board games?
Tetris?!?!
My Gaming Collection (Now at Google Drive!)
I got Super Mario Bros. still, it's a hoot.
Ok, I'll try to explain Tetris...
Basically, each player has a board sized like a typical Tetris playing field. It's got a grid on it as well, making it easier to visualize how many empty blocks are in a given area. A bin of cardboard Tetris pieces (all of our favorite shapes) sits in the center of the table. The players have to race to pull pieces out and fit them on the board. Once either all the pieces are gone or no players can fit anymore pieces, empty blocks are counted on each board. The player with the fewest empty blocks wins.
There are some other rules like not returning a piece once pulled from the bin or not moving a piece once another piece has been drawn. Interesting concept, but not much replay value, hehe. I actually got this new when it first came out. It was a substitute gift for the video game version of Tetris that I had really wanted. Still neat though.
So, anyone have a complete Berzerk boardgame to trade or sell for very little? : )

Pac-Man- Each player has a differently colored Pac-Man. On their turn they roll two dice. They pick one to move Pac-Man, and the other to move the two ghosts (I think, I haven't played in a while). The players' goal is to eat as many dots as possible (they are marbles stuck in holes on the board). If you kill someone with your ghost, they go back to where they started and you get their dots. The game ends when all dots are eaten. This is actually quite a fun game. How exactly do some of these translate as board games?
Ms. Pac-Man- This time there is one Ms. Pac-Man and 4 ghosts (though only 3 are out at once). Dice are rolled to see who is Ms. Pac-Man first. Whoever is Ms. Pac-Man tries to eat as many dots (this time little cardboard circles) as possible without getting killed. If Ms. Pac-Man is killed, the killer is now Ms. Pac-Man and the one killed is a ghost. This game isn't nearly as fun as Pac-Man.
Turbo- generic racing game
Frogger- a very boring game that I don't remember the rules to
SMB- complicated, and I don't remember the rules
Zelda- ditto
The really interesting bit in the Pac Man game is the power pills, which don't count towards your total at the end BUT . . .
While you have one in your tray you can eat the ghosts. When you eat a ghost you send it back to the middle AND take several marbles from anyone you like! This one option can make it a very interesting game, since if someone is winning, the other players can still team up to pull ahead even if not enough marbles remain on the board. (That is, by catching ghosts to reduce the leaders marble count, whilst preventing the leader from getting to the last marbles that would end the game!) Since the power pills are replaced on the board once used, the endgame can get very tense!!!
Frogger I never played, cause it looks dull. Donkey Kong, I haven't got round to playing yet. Turbo is also quite good, but the ice patch at the end makes all the jostling for position at the beginning of the game entirely irrelevant! Quite fun nevertheless, especially with judicious use of the the ambulance!

I had heard somethings about video game board games but I never really paid attention until now. I;m going to start searching for some. I hop I can actually get my hands on some. Mabye e-bay or a classic games shop.
ive also got a street fighter 2 board game and a double dragon board game, if anyones keeping track of those that weren't released with the pitfall/dk/pacman group.
you may want to check through the photos of 'room of doom', as i recall someone has about 8 of these...pitfall, turbo, popeye, ms pacman, pacman, DK, zaxxon, centipede if my memory serves...
i also have a pacman puzzle game(where you have to make three pacmans out of about 10 pcs) and a pacman card game.
the board games are in the middle right of the photo. there are two pacmans because they each came with different color ghosts(ones got yellow ghosts, the other blue ghosts)
I had the LEGEND OF ZELDA board game but ended up selling it at one of our garage sales....found it boring. Should have kept it...it goes for decent money on eBay. Doh!
Man, I never realized that there were this many different video game related board games. Looks like I'll have to start checking out the board games at the thrifts from now on
PSN: SouthRox
There is a 'Doom' board game, based more on Doom 3 then anything (shares the same cover art)
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Number 1 in the 'hood g!
Found pics of a few of these:
