Default Shill bid? Yes or no?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=2861

My mom just lost this one. Was going to be a gift to my dad, but she kept getting beat out. I'm thinking a shill bid. Yes or no?

Yeah, no way to get the goods that quick during Christmas season. Unless they shipped it UPS overnight

Means that either the seller themslves or someone they know purposely drive up the price of the auction. In this case, it backfired. He's stuck with the item and the fee's.

Just wait and see if it's relisted and then report him to Ebay.

I don't think so. Look at the bidding history, this was a reserve auction and the reserve was $100. (notice the last bid was $22 higher than the next highest so the reserve had to be $100) You only bid $75 so you didn't have a chance of winning anyway.

The winning bidder left FB 3 days after the auction ended, which would be suspicious if this was a normal auction. I wouldn't think you will see this up for auction again. Just my thoughts.

I'd love to have that shirt. Nice piece of Bomber memorabilia. I remember watching that victory when I was a kid.

Like the others said, if it goes on sale again by the same seller, then I would be suspicious. If feedback was only after 3 days and it was not UPSed, I would suspect something foul. I can't see there being any huge Bombers fans in the Southern US.

Perhaps he did. What is wrong with that? I've received items 2 days after I make payment by paypal? Depends on where the seller and buyer are located and what mode of shipping is used.

My thoughts exactly, plus the seller left feedback on the 11th. Not to say he's just bright enough not to log onto both accounts and do it up quick one evening, but it helps his case at any rate.

I had feedback left for me 24 hours after the item was sold.. simply because the item was picked up in person the next day.

The seller could have left feedback once the payment was received (I used to do that)
The buyer could have left feedback because they got a tracking number or just a newbie.

I've sold a lot of stuff to newbies to eBay.. just because one is new, doesn't make them a shiller. You can always send a message to the seller asking if they have another one and how much they want for it.

I don't think the feedback was left too quick. I have ordered a NGPC on eBay and paid using PayPal. The seller shipped it Priority from California to Pennsylvania. I was shipped on like the 14th of July and I had the item on the 16th at 11 am when my mail was delivered.
