UPDATED today with over 300 new ads!

I've lost count, there are close to 2000 advertisements in total in this immense gallery. It's really fun just scanning through the pages of your favorite system. If you haven't checked it out lately, give it a look!

FYI Joe, people who have Norton Internet Security 2004 and enable ad-blocking won't be able to view the ad gallery's navigation menu because the source file is located in a directory called /adverts. Norton blocks all files coming from directories called /ads, /adverts, /adv, and anything resembling "advertising" or "advertisement".

I had the same problem on the advertisements gallery on my web site. I changed the directory name to /adz and now it works.

SPECIAL THANKS to Jim "TheVideoGameMaster" for his time dedicated to scanning in the initial gallery you see here.

If YOU would like to contribute (all it really takes is a scanner, some old magazines, and time), please PM or email me at digitalpress@email.com

    Enjoy!
    Hello everyone,

When I first started scanning in video game ads back in December, I promised you all the single largest archive of magazine adverts this side of the time-space continuum. I hate to sound arrogant, but I truly believe that we (Digital Press) have one of, if not the largest selection of VG Ads on the web

I LOVE and enjoy every second of getting to scan in these awesome VG Ads, but without with the support of Joe and the many of you that have been generous enough to scan in your ads as well, this section would have never been possible.

A big big thanks to Joe my man and the many of you who are credited, for all your efforts and support. I have thousands of more Ads to scan in, so please don't think by a long shot that we are finished Please be sure to check out all the new updates every week. Thanks again to everyone who has helped me and for all of you out there who have shown such a huge interest in the archive. This is such a huge honor for me and I hope you all continue to enjoy the Advert Gallery. Thanks and God Bless

This question has come up quite a few times in the past, and the answer is much like the one for using screenshots of games. You have to understand first that game manufacturers WANT you to use their images, and advertisements such as the ones you see here aren't technically magazine content, they're game publisher property.

    BIG update this morning.

Check out the PlayStation section in particular, for a dose of early Sony goodness.

Another hundred or so advertisements were added to the gallery this weekend, courtesy of "digitpress Jim" Combs. You'll discover most of the new ones in the PlayStation section which in itself has nearly 200 classic print ads!

    Have fun.

In case you didn't realize we're still at this...

    http://www.videogamearchive.com/dpsightz/adverts/

Over 150 new ads scanned and loaded today. Most of the new stuff can be found in the 8-bit computer and PlayStation sections. Quite a few in the Genesis and Sega CD sections as well.

    Updated again this weekend!

    http://www.videogamearchive.com/dpsightz/adverts/

Over 100 new ads scanned and loaded. Extra special thanks to my wife, mrs. digitalpress, for this set. Her first ever DP project - check out the new CD32 advertisement gallery, she did all of those scans.
