Are you playing the game in Hard mode? If so, be sure and don't accidentally switch it to Easy (it offers you the option if you die a few times in the same area).

Final Fantasy IX (PS1)- On Disc 3, just finished Oeilvert. Really enjoying the game, and I'm officially further than I ever was in any of my previous playthrough attempts.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core (PSP)- Just reached chapter 6. Or 7? Can't remember at the moment.

Yea I'm playing on Hard mode. I have a problem with games nowadays seeming to be too easy so I always up the difficulty atleast one spot of every game that gives me the option to do so.

Played through and beat Metal Slug 1 and 2 (via Metal Slug Anthology) with my bro over this weekend.

Also been playing GTA IV (most online) for the PS3

and finally been mostly playing God of War for PS2 since I have never went through one...must say that I'm loving this title.

Yesterday, it was back to the Japanese PS2:

Adventure Island (remake) - The updated graphics look pretty good. I don't remember this game being so unforgiving on the NES, but I only rented it back in the day.

Gunbird 1 & 2 - I was determined to play this one with the requisite 3 lives in each. I didn't last long, but the games were fun. The Dreamcast version of Gunbird 2 still looks better, IMO.
